hi!! I found this sub recently and am working on designing a laptop backpack for everyday use/commuting/etc as my first project - how do you all recommend designing a laptop sleeve? is there a generally agreed upon best way to do it? I'm worried that if i just put two pieces of material together and sew them at the edges (leaving one edge open), that putting my laptop in will cause the two panels to bend outwards (like an eye shape), but adding a gusset seems like a bit much for how little the pocket needs to expand outwards. I also do want to ensure the side of the laptop that faces downwards is padded in addition to the top/bottom - how can I do that? I have a rickshaw sutro bag and it see

hi, this might be a bit of a silly request but I need help finding a backpack that is purple/pink/lilac/some similar color. I'm going to use it for bringing my laptop and similar items around the city to events and such, for short hikes, etc. my other requirements are:

  • somewhere around 18-26L. my current backpack is 28L and it's a bit big
  • padded laptop sleeve/compartment
  • comfortable straps (I have joint problems so this is particularly important for me)
  • under $200, ideally less
  • water bottle pocket, ideally not made of mesh (maybe it's just me but i find mesh pockets to develop holes and tears so easily)

a friend recommended me the tom binh synapse 25 (in aubergine/emerald), and I

Looking to purchase some kind of HBA to connect two SAS drives to a computer, not too concerned with specs other than that.

Also looking for wifi 6 APs, ideally from Zyxel, and an M.2 to PCIE adapter!

I have two of these NUCs sitting around, considering selling them and curious how much they'd be worth. They're the NUC6i5SYK model (shorter one without space for 2.5" drive, and with a 6th gen i5 processor) and I would include a power brick and possibly 8gb of DDR4.

hi!! SSD prices are making me sad :( but luckily I have some RAM sitting around in a laptop I'm not using, so I'm thinking of selling it to make a bunch of money so I can afford to pay a bunch for storage for my homelab (which is currently just running off a single 1TB SSD from that same laptop).

I have 2x32gb DDR4 SODIMMs, I believe each of them is 3200mhz. They aren't the same brand/didn't come in a kit, I purchased them separately - unsure if that affects price?

Looking to buy some MX springs with a bottom out weight of around 30 grams (ideally Sprit 30S, but other springs with slightly different weights, e.g. gateron clear springs, are great too).

Looking to buy these parts to help my brother build a keyboard:

  • 60% (preferably hotswap) PCB that supports a layout with arrow keys
  • A plate compatible with the above PCB
  • A keycap set compatible with the 60% with arrows layout (not something expensive, want to spend max $40)
  • ~70 Aliaz switches (preferably 60g but other weights are ok, I can swap the springs)
  • Bamboo case for a 60% PCB (like this one from KBDFans)
  • 60% stabilizers (any brand is ok)
