We have our living space on the second floor, with our first floor being a very open area that we sometimes use for large gatherings. Is there a good way to reduce the sound coming upstairs other than putting in more fabric furniture, rugs or adding a drop ceiling? Are there acoustic tiles that we could put directly onto the ceiling?

So I went to a company golf tournament last weekend and played my first ever round of golf. I borrowed my brother in laws clubs and somehow on the 17th hole I broke the head off the club, and the head went straight into the water hazard... My BIL has said to not worry about it and that it was an old club anyways, but obviously I want to replace it. The only problem is I can't find one anywhere. I'm a total newbie when it comes to this stuff, but I was wondering if there is an equivalent club that I could buy for him to make it up?
Basically what the title says, I have a 2025 Outland SEL and when I turn off the engine the seat automatically goes back. It's a great feature except I have a baby's car seat behind me and it's hard to get the car seat out while the driver seat is all the way back. Is there a way to adjust how far back the driver seat goes? I've tried googling and the manual but haven't found anything yet. TIA!
Saw Ally in the wild
Turned the corner and saw Ally just standing there on the phone. I violently turned around and then turned back really quick and waved like Forest Gump waving on his shrimping boat to Lieutenant Dan. And then I turned and effectively ran away. I can't say where they were as they are still there.
I was drenched in sweat for like half an hour after the incident.
If they hadn't been on the phone I would have forced myself to say hi.
I'm very shy and terrified of engaging with people in general but I have been doing my best to break out of my shell as it would be better for my career in the human services field. But it's fun and hilarious to see what nonsense my instin
We're struggling to find a boy name that would match his older brother Wesley. We're hoping to find something with a similar traditional anglo-scot vibe. I've been advocating for Malcolm, but given that we're planning on three, having Malcolm in the middle is a no-go. Anyone got any suggestions? TIA!
I, like many others I'm sure have been told that it would be best if I get into a pool. I'm currently an acting ec05 but my substantive is ec04. I keep looking on jobs.gc.ca, but I haven't seen anything about any pools. Does anyone have advice on how to get into an ec05 pool?
Innova has bought out Acerunners.ca, what impacts will this have on Canadian Disc golf?
acerunners.ca/blogs/news-bites/innova-disc-go...I've just signed up for Dropout and binged through Game Changer and Um Actually, and I'm interested in getting into D20. I've played a little D&D and wasn't super into it, but maybe D20 would get me back into it. With there being 20+ seasons, is it best to start at the beginning, or is there a season that's a little more approachable?
My wife and I just finished building our house, and we have LVP flooring throughout, including on the stairs. We have two older dogs that are having difficulty getting up the stairs because they can't get traction. We're looking at ways to help them out and thinking about putting in stair pads. Is there a way to attach them without damaging our brand new stairs if we decide to take them out down the road? I dont really like the idea of staples or Brad nails going into my staircase. Is there a tape or glue option that would be robust enough for our dogs and us to go up and down, but non permanent?
TIA!
I'm looking to get into sous vide, but don't love the idea of cooking in plastic. Does anyone have recommendations on silicon bags that would be large enough to do a large roast in? I have a freezer full of Chuck's that I'd like to turn into Charles.
My wife and I just bought a house that has a natural gas hook up for a BBQ. What are the things I should be looking for with a NG BBQ, and are there any specific grills that I should look at? I use my grill for basic BBQ, but have been looking at maybe getting into smoking at some point.
At my work a few months ago there was a duck confit dish that's no longer on the menu. Last night the chef gave me a box of frozen confit duck legs while trying to make space in the freezer. I now have 20 or so precooked frozen duck legs in my freezer, so if anyone has any great ideas or recipes I would really appreciate it!
