Returning to comics after a 20+ year break, and I please need your help finding superhero stories that will hit me like cupid’s arrow.

Some context: Back in the day, I loved Y: The Last Man and Sweet Tooth. I started 100 Bullets and Ex Machina and dug those. But classic superheroes? Never really got into them. It's not a hatred thing -- just pure ignorance.

That said, I have a soft spot for Batman. I’ve read the major titles (Dark Knight Returns, The Killing Joke, etc.) and just finished the first volume of this new Absolute series (loved it). So, maybe a more detective-lean
