In my excitment I ended up making a 3 part series(and an intro) covering the G1 and the wrestlers in it. I'm no historian and opinions abound but my attempt was to introduce things in a way I could have used as a new watcher and highlight the wrestlers.

The Intro explains the basics of how to watch the tournament, show key terms, and why its worth watching.

Part 1 of the breakdown is my thoughts on the Reiwa generation of up and coming wrestlers in New Japan.

Because of a surprise two article a day limit on medium pa

Between 10-15 years ago I remember seeing a bumper style commercial on what I think was the IFC channel. I don't think this was advertising anything except the channel and was fairly short. I remember thinking it was a member of the band but thats the detail I'm the least certain on.

In the commercial a man leaves his hotel room and enters into an eclecticly decorated hallway. On a table there is a mandolin and he picks it up to play the opening Mandolin bit from R.E.M.'s song Losing My Religion. He then somewhat awkwardly looks around and leaves as the logo for whatever the commercial is for comes on screen.

Searches for IFC channel Mandolin, each of the band members in commercials, lo

I've mostly been watching stuff like SpyxFamily and Blue Lock lately and realized its been a while since I've read a straight up battle anime and could use recommendations.

I don't like a lot of current tropes. The first is that I'm simply not a fan of Isekais or shows where all the action is in an mmo the characters are playing. The second is that I really don't like the incely stuff where someone was born with no abilities, hated by everyone, until they spend 10,000 hours doing shin kicks so now they're op and get all the women who rejected them. I don't like super horny shows but actively don't want to watch shows that introduce childlike sexualized characters.

I've seen the classics: v

I've always liked Super Sentai and Power Rangers style shows. I have looked at and played a lot of systems like Henshin, Mask, Savage Toku, etc that operate in the genre space, and things outside of it like Feng Shu.(I have done a ton of hacking and from scratch system building as well.) These aren't doing what I am interested in though, I want to make a game focused on playing in the controlled chaos of the fights. Something like this scene where each character can have their own elaborate set piece in turn.

One system that I really got a lot from and tried to hack a few ways was VeloCITY: The Wind in Your Hair which is a

  1. The G1 is so Good it Hurts

Last year I really got into the new crop of talent and began fully engaging with the G1 for the first time. Its the best since you see all of who a wrestler is or could be. Its the worst because you can fall in love with a performer and watch in real time as they fall behind in the math in the same way you can see an election slide state by state on CNN.

  2. ZSJ being on top has focused the New Japan style.

ZSJ vs Takeshita in the semifinals rocked. Zack may never be a top ten of all time champion or mega popular gaijin but he sure as hell is working out the kinks in the New Japan main event style. Ever since he's started to be featured at the top of

I'm watching a horror show right now(Garo: Makai Senki episode 12) and a teen girl is dealing with an abusive mother. She gets berated for eating a snack on the way home from school and slammed against a wall. She is then "forgiven" and told she's loved before getting touched in an uncomfortable manner head to toe.

The viewer is meant to think this is happening because the mother has recently died in a car accident and is possessed, but a flashback makes it clear that the same was happening as a younger child. We see she's obsessively checked for bruises or scratches everytime she gets home as grade schooler and isn't allowed to pet animals or visit a kids amusement park in walking distan

I am using QBittorent search with Jackett and its been working great. The only problem is a bunch of the best general purpose indexers have XXX sections full of porn, and lets face it, that's a field with great SEO.

A good chunk of the time I end up with searches, even fairly specific ones, full of unrelated stuff with different names at the top of relevance or seeders. Using the additional search result filter works a lot of the time but I was wondering if there is a way to get less chaff to sort through.

As far as what I've done: I have already pared my list of indexers down to the essential in Jackett. I have also tried using categories, but I find that sometimes the content I want is

I have a bunch of rider rings from Wizard. They're great as decor in my office since they are subtle, nice looking, and cheap.

I have a dozen of them on a string light and while I'm not super interested in getting a driver, I'd love to be able to light them fully, even if momentarily.

I've put them against the back of my phone and also tried apps like NFC tools but that doesn't get them fully activated. They all have fresh batteries. Is there an app or device for playing with NFC toys anyone has tried or heard of that might work?
