National Dumpling Day!
Okay, I’ll admit it—I lied. I said I’d only host dumpling crawls during AAPI Month, but with National Dumpling Day right around the corner, there’s no way I can sit this one out. 🥟🔥 Time to grab the soy sauce and Sriracha and celebrate properly!
Since Dumpling Day falls on a Friday, we’re turning it into an after-work crawl. As always, we’ll kick things off at a bar with some pre-dumpling drinks before hitting the streets to feast our way through the night. Who’s hungry?

Kinda random, but I saw that Ava and Kiki’s Apizza was hosting a pop-up tonight at Wild East Brewing Co. I've been following them for awhile and its not far from where I am today. Plus Landline Comedy is having a free event there at 8PM so we can enjoy some pizza, beers and get some laughs in.
Ill be there 6PM if you would like to join! Feel free to DM me once you get there. Ill comment on this thread once im there later today so you can find the group.
Been meaning to check out Ava and Kiki’s Apizza's pizza pop-ups. They are making New Haven Style Apizza in NYC. Kinda random last minute hangout celebrating the end of my jury duty. LOL.
Come by try some of their APIZZA, cold beers and enjoy standup comedy at 8PM presented by Landline Comedy.
Hope to see you tonight!
im old. the last time i saw SHM was at Madison Square Garden in Dec 2011.
I didnt want to watch them at Arthur Ashe b/c that venue just sucks for music events. So to Under the K I go.
Great venue and sound. Got there early and got a spot near the front. The 3 opening acts were good. I think much better than the ones that performed last night. No one got booed.
A 3 hours set later and im just fucking wiped. It was amazing from start to end. When they played Levels, i near damn cried. I was a huge Avicii fan. That song hit me in the feels.
Its been so long since I went to a show but are some people just really rude shows? Like girls and guys would hold hands and make a chain to get fro
Hey folks! Trying to get some feedback from the group about what other areas we should explore. The criteria I usually use to pick new areas to eat area:
- must be easily accessible by public transportation (not uber or lyfts)
- we can easily walk to each pizza spot on the crawl (distance between each spot is under 1 mile). I rather not make people take a train/bus between each spot b/c it just adds too much time to the crawl and introduces issues (eg: train issues). we had this issue with the Queens crawl when the 7 train had signal issues.
- must be slice shops so people can pay on their own. makes it easier to try different things and handle the bill. splitting a large pie and collecti
Hey folks!
Not rolling with a crew to SHM at Under The K on Friday 09/12. I'm down to host a pre-show meet up before going to the show together.
We could meet up at Minnows Bar (https://maps.app.goo.gl/jUdnqsLJyohitrrv6) at around 5:00PM then head over to wait on the line at 6PM and wait till door opens at 7PM.
Open to changing the times, etc based on your personal experiences on getting into the venue on a good time to get good spot.
If you are down to meet up, comment "SHM" down below and ill DM you a Whatsapp group chat link.
Where are we going?
For our October edition of the NYC Pizza Crawl, we’re taking over the East Village!
The East Village is legendary for its food, nightlife, and—of course—its pizza. With more than 30 slice shops and restaurants packed into the neighborhood, it’s one of the most pizza-dense areas in NYC.
But on our crawls, we don’t just go anywhere—we spotlight the slice shops that take pizza seriously. Think: carefully sourced flour, top-notch tomatoes, high-quality cheese, and olive oil that makes every bite sing.
Join us on Saturday, October 4th, 2025, as we hit 3 standout East Village spots serving some of the city’s most exceptional slices.
