My dad died a day after Christmas. I'm an adult. I've been worn out trying to take care of stuff at the farm, work full time, and take care of Mom.

Dad's riding mower hasn't worked all summer. It's the stuff he always made look easy. On my days off I've taken the carburetor off, cleaned, and reinstalled...nothing. take the fuel line apart...nothing.

After months I finally had a day without anyone else making demands of my time. I took the carburetor off, took it apart, flushed everything, replaced seals with o rings found in a cabinet. Put it all together, and the battery was dead. I put it on a charger.

A tiny amount of daylight and it starts. I run a couple quick laps around the yard.

I boogered up my feet from Crazy Cook to Lordsburg. Saw a bunch of hikers walking up NM90. Stopped one to offer water/ride/ect and they declined, this was just how they were getting to Silver City. It looks to me like there is still water between here and there. I still plan to hike the trail up to 180 and road walk the 20 miles into Silver City. Am I missing something? Is there a good reason not to take the trail? Thanks in advance.

Update- I climbed burro peak, stayed at burro mountain homestead, then got to the fire closure and the forest service folks told me to just walk up red rock road, turn left on mangos rd and take it up to 180 near where the CDT joins 180. The road walk w

I hiked the PCT in 2017. Before the trip I bought 2 shirts from a closing MC Sports in Illinois. They were thin, synthetic wicking material. Other shirts I've tried since then are heavier and thicker. The info on the collar is too faded for me to read the brand name. Anyone have any suggestions?

I used to be on a Wylie Richardson Garland server, but after not playing for a couple of months bc I was busy with school I'm no longer on there. Can anyone help me out with an invite?

When I did the PCT Spam slices in pouches added much needed fat and calories to my diet when I shed too much weight. These were the bomb in 2011 when I would buy them by the case. I've contacted them about it, but if a large number contact them then they might realize there is a market for them now. Their texture was more firm and better than the ones in cans too! You can contact them here, yes Conagra foods is the parent company of Armour Star.
