Looks like Colossus: The Forbin Project will finally be available for purchase on Fandango at Home. If you know nothing about this film, you don't need to read up on it first - the less you know, the better. It's a 1970s movie about humans letting a rogue AI loose on the world. I remember watching this film as a double feature in a small Pacific Northwest movie theatre, my teeth glued together by Jujubes. Maybe it's the nostalgia talking, but I love this film.

Halloween is only 72 days or so away, so I'm already stocking up on cheap, low-budget horror movies to watch in the evenings. I noticed some bangers in the $5 Sale this morning, so I thought I would throw out some recommendations and ask if anyone had any suggestions.
Here is a link to the sale: HERE
Have you seen THE ENDLESS? It's a great film by the filmmakers that Marvel scooped up to do Moon Knight, Loki, and Daredevil. This is one of their earlier films and totally worth the watch if you like cosmic horror. It's funny, scary, and with a strong emotiona
I'm sorry. I know everytime a Jackie Chan film becomes available on Vudu, I'm jumping up and down about it. I wish I could explain what the movies starring the Three Dragons meant to a skinny kid like me growing up in San Francisco.
Wagner described opera as Gesamtkunstwerk - the perfect art form - a combination of theatre, singing, and dance (and possibly twerking). These triad-sponsored Golden Harvest films were just that. Multiple styles of martial arts, slapstick comedy, beautiful women, singing, car chases, melodrama - these films had it all.

An early Three Dragons movie just became available on Vudu. That's Sammo, Jackie Chan, and Yuen Biao all for one great price. (Sammo behind the camera as director too.)
Jackie Chan movies have a habit of being available today and gone tomorrow. However, that has leveled off recently, so it may be around for a while. Maybe.
Hi guys, Long time lurker, first time caller.
Has anyone noticed an uptick in bad dreams with their families, friends, or coworkers? I live in Minnesota, and over the past week, I've noticed my family, two other separate families (that live pretty far apart), and my coworker's family being overwhelmed by nightmares of late. I don't think this is spooky-season-related. It feels different - like focused. It's not just one person in the respective houses. It's everyone in the family - adults and kids alike. People wake up from bad dreams, go back to sleep, and immediately fall back into bad dreams. Rinse and repeat.

I'll admit that I have a bone to pick with Criterion. They hoard classic films, keeping the gold for themselves and making everyone pay through the nose. Many digital masterpieces aren't available for purchase at Vudu, and it's maddening.
That being said - there is no mistaking quality.
Today, I purchased three films - one - two -three without pausing, regardless of Criterion's enormous price tags.
Tsui Hark's masterpieces, staring Jet Li in his prime, are available for purchase for the first time on Vudu.
I've bought a lot of crappy, pirated copies of this movie over the years, watching the camera in the theatre slowly drift down, cutting off the subtitles, but like most Crite
I don't usually do this.
Vudu has been my platform of choice after being screwed over repeatedly by Apple (and Amazon) and its digital movies.
HOWEVER, some things are just too important for grudges.
iTunes has A Better Tomorrow for purchase.
Everybody has movies that define who they are. Everybody has that movie that hits different. For me, it was John Woo's The Killer - a film that led me to this masterpiece - A Better Tomorrow.
I won't waste your time with the history of this film, or why it was so important, or the copycat films that tried to cash in on its success. I won't list the directors who were obviou
Were you just a little disappointed when you learned that Frank Abagnale's Catch Me If You Can was complete crud?
Well, Mark Read never pretended any of this crap was "real". Chopper is a movie about a criminal who is telling his own story but has created a blue-collar criminal legend in the process. Australia is a magical land where everything wants to kill you, and it has made some of the toughest c*nts to walk the face of the Earth. And every one of those c*nts knows who Chopper is. And every one of them laughs and crosses the street when they see Mark walking down the street. (Well, actually, I think he's dead now, but, hey, no one would put it past Chopper to not let it stop hi
Not Scared to Die also known as Fist of Anger also known as Eagle Shadow Fist
This Jackie Chan film... isn't good either. But if you trying to have a complete collection of Jackie Chan films then you can't go wrong with... whatever this is. I haven't watched it.
Police Woman aka Rumble in Hong Kong
Originally Police Woman from 1973, this is one of the worst Jackie Chan movies ever made. However, it was one of the few times when he played a villain.
