My main question is how much of my pay should I invest towards my 401k? My company matches up to 5% when I contribute at least 6% of my pay. Ive been contributing 10% for a few years now but still only have $32,000 invested after opening it in late 2021. Ive been considering 20%

Context:

Im making $40,000 a year in an hourly position, after being passed over for a promotion that would have bumped me into a salaried position (retail) making upwards of $50,000. Ive been looking at getting a better paying job.

However, im 29, and I still live at home with my parents. Ive paid off my car loan ($11.8k) and student loans ($30k)within the last year and am now debt free. Due to living at

Ill be visiting for a weekend next month. My family and I are flying in from different parts of our state and will be meeting up in Denver. I had to take an early flight just to get a direct flight in. So I'll have roughly 8hrs to kill before my family is supposed to land, barring any delays of course.

Exactly how delusional am I for wanting to rent a car for the day to go directly from the airport to the Rockies, and eat lunch in Estes Park before heading back into Denver to return the car and meet with my family at arrivals?

Ive ordered berghia nudibranchs as my peppermint shrimp are likely too well fed to attack aiptasia as well as many of the aiptasia getting too large for them to want to bother them. Another thing is that id assume they won't go to the side of the tank with all the aiptasia because maybe my clownfish pair is territorial?

So im assuming that the berghias might be safer from the peppermints given the fact that they dont seem keen to go to that side of the tank. What do yall think?

Ill preface this with the fact that I have zero interest with owning any pistols and only wish to pursue the semi-auto license, but the only avenue is getting a pistol permit.

I live in Genesee County. I explained to the clerks office my situation and as long as I understood them correctly, they explained that if I did the old 5 hour training course it would suffice for the premise permit. They also said they they do occasionally get people like me coming in only looking for the semi-auto. However I would still need to fill out the permit paperwork as needed.

Before I start calling around/emailing does anybody know off hand if anyone in Western NY still offers the old 5 hour course? I kno

Ive saved up around $25k in efforts to purchase a home. Im 28 and still living with my parents. However with the recent restart of student loan interest for the SAVE plan despite the ongoing litigation my interest is increasing again, ive been considering just dropping most of it on my loans or my remaining car loan to lessen my debt load and possibly increase home buying power for when the time is right.

I have $30k in student loan debt varying from 2.5%-5.5% and I dont make much money, about $40k gross pay. Estimated payments if I switched to a standard payment plan is ~$300/m

My remaining car loan balance is $11.8k at an 8.19% rate. Its currently over 50% paid off. Monthly payments are

Im considering putting a lump sum of money ($15,000) I had saved in hopes to buy my first home into either my car loan or my student loans to lower my debt and in theory increase my homebuying power with an FHA loan and my ability to save faster. Im 27 and currently live at home with my parents and my only monthly expenses are my car payment, car insurance. My Student loans are currently in forbearance due to the SAVE plan being in limbo, my payments otherwise would be $0 due to my income ($36k). My car payment+insurance is a total of $585 and the payoff amount would amount to $15,500.
