Hi everybody,

I'm trying to write up a personal project automating some ttrpg mechanics, where the "attack" function will take the target's name as an argument and feed it into the "defence" action that uses the target's Dex and one of their skills (i.e. "Void).

Referring to the target's Dex seems to work fine from inside the "defence" action, but when I try to implement the Character.Skill referent through variables I'm met with "Uncaught ReferenceError: Void is not defined."

//very basic and temporary exalt template
class Exalt {
    constructor() {
    this.Essence = 1;
    this.Dex = 1;
    this.Defence = 1;
  }
}

Hi, I have tried to translate a couple traditional songs, but I'd appreciate if somebody with a better command of the language than me looked it over and maybe pointed out some mistakes.

The translations are not particularly literary, but I tool some minor liberties. As these are intended for subtitles, I have also tried not to mess up line synching too much. (?!) means I'm particularly unconfident about that line.

いにしえのIn the ancient

庭に偲ぶおもかげはGarden, a treasured memory

松の位の名に高きOf her, whose name rose higher than the pines (?!)

Who is it and was he dead? [Ehime, Shikoku, Jp]

Noticed this little guy when trying to get down the slope to the river. He was maybe two steps away from me, didn't try to run away and didn't visibly react in any other way, which makes me wonder if he was alive at all. Didn't seem like a good idea to poke him, but he allowed me to stick around for 5-10 minutes taking pictures (I didn't come closer than a few meters after noticing him), still not showing any response.

I've read that the only black snakes on Shikoku are the ones that have abnormal melanin production, so I wonder if this affects them in some other way beside

There's an Inari shrine in East Gion called Kankame Inari (観亀稲荷), where geiko and maiko have an event in mid May. Based on the videos I've found, there's a little walk around the district, a short dance, a beer counter. Personally, I think it would be very interesting to see hanamachi natives socialize, maybe even chat to a few. Understandably, the event is not widely advertised, I couldn't find any definitive information online, and when I went to the shrine last night, all I saw were two strips of paper saying

"May 15th, 11am execution" (as in performance, 執行) and

"May 14th, 5-9:30pm"

Without any extrapolation. And then some of the videos I found have the recording date as May 13th, 202

Hi everybody,

I'm editing a recording of a performance by Aoi tayuu (yes, not a geisha, but I think this sub is my best chance), and I'm hoping somebody can help me identify the songs used in the performance. Since the performance used recordings, I'm tempted to look for open source recordings rather than deal with depressingly bad sound that I've got, but even just having the lyrics and knowing the names of the songs would make me happy.

  1. The first one was inishie (いにしえ), which I found on youtube and managed to get the lyrics from this blog (so thanks to whoever left a link in this sub)

Hi everyone,

I'm looking into getting a wide lens to use with gh5, and it seems that Olympus 12-40 2.8 pro is a good option. There are options on the used marked for about 60 000 yen in AB-condition (minor cosmetic issues outside) and in B-condition (some dust inside the lens and in the zoom ring thread) for a little under 50 000 yen. As I don't understand much in photo-equipment, I wanted to ask people with experience whether better condition would justify the price difference, assuming there's a few months of or no warranty?

Also, are there any lenses that you would recommend as an alternative? I currently use Olympus 25mm 1.8 and Lumix 45-175mm 4.0-5.6. I like about the 12-40 lens that

Saving tiny V

SpoilerPathologic 3

I'm assuming it's impossible, but does anybody know if there's a way to save young Vlad without handing him over to Maria? Frankly, I don't particularly care about him, but it is said to see Capella turn into a chartered accountant, and I don't think this can be avoided unless Vlad is there to be the heir?

I'm enjoying the new instalment, but Bodho consume my name if I know what to do about bandits. I have a gun, I even have bullets, but it seems literally impossible to walk through the warehouses while pointing it at everyone. Somehow, this ends with a croud of like 8 bandits following me at a distance while I'm walking backwards (or a crowd of 8 bandits running after me if I'm not walking backwards). Shooting one seems to be enough to make Bachelor push the eject button in a fit of misplaced repentance (while still technically in combat).

So, any tips? Am I supposed to like drink some coffee and have a smoke first, go on a murder spree second?

As a side note, I get that Daniil is fig

Got invited by a friend to Enryakuji for the New Year.

Pros: amazake is free

Cons: useless taxi app is useless

The most impressive parts of the experience were

a) my friend's ability to convince people to give lifts to strangers, at night

b) the locals' willingness to give lifts to strangers, at night

Interestingly, the family that helped us out says they come to Enryakuji every year. I wanted to ask if they actually practice Tendai, but it felt like a rude question. Judging by the look of the audience during the Oni-chasing Ceremony, most people were there to take pictures, like me.

I'm afraid I sound very negative, but this was not the worst way to meet the New Year, by far. My
