There’s bunches of propositions, local measures, and many district-wide offices, including reps.

Please post links to your favorite voter guides, and please note what organization is putting them out.

Looking for tips on adapting Jeni’s cream cheese base to toasted almond. Specifically, how does one go about out steeping the toasted almonds in the milk/cream mixture? I assume I would want to do this BEFORE the 4 minute boil and addition of the corn starch slurry.

I plan on using sliced almonds for steeping (thin little slices = lots of surface area but still strain-able). For your typical 1-1.5 qt batch, how much almonds should I use, and how long do I steep them?

Following that, the plan is to sugar-coat approx 1 cup (190 g) roughly chopped toasted almonds for mix in at the end of churning, and a very small amount of almond extract just to round things out.

The latest annoying political ad has all these ‘small
business associations’ against this thing, claiming it outlaws ‘sales and price matching’. Looking at the text, it mentions stuff about monopolies.

Does anyone that reads legislate-ese that can break down just what this bill ACTUALLY does? 99% of the time, if the chambers of commerce are against it, it means it’s great for regular people.

Weird Kids (2026) - dir. Zach Pessaro

It’s summer of 1985 and we have ‘Dug’, a 12 year old, overweight videogame nerd and his little friends, all 6th graders, going with his 18 year old big brother and his gir

I was all set for the sale, and even got the Costco B&N gift card deal. And then I thought: I really want the Kubrick set.

It comes out in October. The next B&N sale is November.

I’m saving up.
