At my store from the first day i started i was told to wash the bars at the end of the night and do not use them after they'd been cleaned then pill them together at the end of the night so they are fully clean for morning and don't stay icky overnight. Recently ive been borrowing and i realized most store will do it in the middle of the day and just wipe them down at nigh b4 pilling which i feel is kinda gross cause the milk buildup on the wand just solidifies overnight and the steam wand doesn't work well the next morning. Plus the grounds drawer gets crusty as well. I just can't understand why you would do them so early and think its okay to just leave overnight 😭 if you guys are at a sto

So as you guys know the new training has a longer period but the trainee is coverage for most of it , that being said, the trainer should still be around to help the trainee, right?? WRONG. Every trainee ive trained with the new system has only had 2 full days with me throughout the whole period and the rest they were on their own. Yesterday was my newest trainees first day, we spent 1 hour on register and today they had him on the floor without me or any other trainers to support him during peak causing him and the rest of my store to be stressed. I hate just leaving my trainee in chaos but I can't do anything about it my sm just keeps scheduling them like this literally just pretending the

Tldr at bottom

I have been working for Starbucks for around 11 months now. I started at the same time as a shift supervisor of mine. Them and I are both primarily closers. Since around the 3-month mark they have been increasingly pushy and hostile and consistently making inappropriate comments to me and fellow baristas (about weight/sex/race etc.). From as soon as I started noticing that behavior to now, I have been informing my manager and she tends to brush me off, not giving it another glance, I've discussed this behavior with multiple ASM's and SMS at other stores that I've worked at to see if maybe they could help me and they said it would have to go through her. Within the last month

Some lady let her hot lattes sit for over an hour, said they were bad, remade them, said they were bad AGAIN tried to reach over my counter to make her own drink then told me to fix my attitude and did the whole "i come here alot" thing 🙄

I currently have a ssv who is VERY incompetent. Hes not a bad guy but hes DEFINITELY bad at his job. He just hit his 1 year mark that being said he is very slow at his job and very unsupportive on the floor, bad at keeping personal space, constantly forgetting breaks etc. Multiple times I and other baristas/ssvs have reported this behavior to our sm and she says she'll fix the problem but never does anything. Earlier today she was leaving as he was getting in, they started chatting and i overheard her say something along the lines of "we're good on hours this week so i don't mind if you stay late" of course i wasn't involved in this conversation so I cannot be certain of the context but from

At my store we have ASM's in and out all the time due to my SM being a trainer. That being said, every time we have a new one they're always in charge of the schedule. And every time a new one starts the schedule they don't take into account the preferred shift length i have discussed with my SM, no matter what I do every single time we have a new ASM I have to constantly remind them that I will not be coming in to work 3 hours shift. Is there anyway to get this madness to stop? Some asms totally understand and they make sure for a future schedules that I am given longer work days but some of them give me so much shit and are just rude about it?

So when I got hired of course they asked weekly hours. They asked for my minimum maximum and preferred. When I put them in they said that I couldn't do over 30 even though I was looking to go full-time. So I went with it and I just recently figured out that I can go higher than that. But I'm wondering if I aim to change it do they actually adhere to my minimum?? Like example my minimum hours is 38, would they actually scheduled me 38 + each week?

You guys know that section of play caller with the green background where people tend to put the store "to do" list like the b4 close tasks? Ive noticed working at most stores in my district my store is the one with the longest checklist by a LANDSLIDE. So im curious how do yours look/what do you guys have on them?

That being said i want to use my sick time BEFORE i leave since it will not be cashed out when i leave. Is there anyway to use it without calling out and putting my coworkers in a terrible position?
