When the AC turns on in my apartment, the air smells but only in the bathroom. And only most of the time. At first it was more of a maybe mildew smell? But now it’s that smell and occasional egg smell, which is less often. My apartments maintenance staff has been through three times at least and have all told me there’s nothing wrong. The vent looks clear and it’s “nothing hazardous so just to use an air freshener in the vent.” I don’t want air freshener smell on top of fart smell though, creating one big stink. All my drains are used on a regular basis so I don’t think it’s a dried p-trap, and it doesn’t only occur when the drains are used/toilet flushed, I only notice it when the air comes

I can’t seem to find the information, when does our Spring 2026 parking passes expire if I paid by semester and not for the annual pass? Does it expire the last day of exams?

This post is mostly for me, I need to express my anger and upset to people who get it. I was recently removed from a case with the first client I’d ever had. He’s an adult client. I’ve been his RBT for about 1.5 years now. Overall, it is a very long story and over a month of direct events leading up to this, but I’ll keep it general. My BCBA decided that my client was not benefiting from the ABA model anymore. Hes been in ABA for I believe 2-2.5 years maybe? He had other BTs before me but with months in between. He is very capable, and masters skills quickly. We worked a lot on independent living skills since he’s an adult. We did cleaning skills, personal hygiene, and cooking. However, he

As an update to one of my previous posts from months ago, the services for the client with the dirty house has been temporarily suspended. My new BCBA evaluated their home today, and deemed it unsafe to provide services in. We’re going to try and transition to community sessions until their house is clean, and able be walkable. I feel a bit sad because I know the family is going to take the news hard, and I’m not sure when community sessions will begin. I’m also unsure how to run these types of sessions. But I hope it’s a wake up call to model properly for my client. Mainly just a rant/update, but if anyone has thoughts or advice it is welcome.

Hi! Does anyone in this group for Key Autism Services? I’m an RBT in North Carolina, and there isn’t a clinic near me. Since I only work in home, I don’t know any other employees besides my BCBA, and it’s a bit isolating. I was hoping to get to know more people within the company:)

My current BCBA is leaving the company. She told me about a week and a half ago. She is now leaving in 2 weeks. This was a good notice in my opinion. She said she’d keep me updated about letting the families know and when I will be getting a new supervisor. Since it’s getting close, I wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this before. And also, what is your experience with time frame? Is this cutting it close, or is it normal to be unsure what’s happening at this point? Sorry I hope this made sense

I mainly just have to rant. I have an adult client who lives with her parents. Their house is just full of trash honestly. The only clean area is our workspace. Cleaning skills is implemented in the client’s program, and is the main part of the program at the moment, but it’s hard when most of the house is in dismay. We only recently have made progress in some areas of the house. There’s not any biohazard luckily, but there is just so much stuff. My BCBA is aware and thinks I’m doing a wonderful job implementing the skills, which I appreciate. I’m a house cleaner as a side gig and I’m honestly obsessed with deep cleaning. It takes everything in me to not get my hands on the mess and grime. L

Has any one ever had to leave in the middle of a session because they don’t feel well? How do you go about that professionally?

Do you guys go to your sessions when you have a cold? I already called out a day last week, and I feel so bad because there’s no one to cover me. But, I work in-home so I feel like an a-hole going into people’s homes while sick. It’s just a cold so I feel functional, and it’s unsustainable for me to miss multiple days. But I feel so guilty missing work too. Do you guys run sessions when you have a cold? Or do you stay home until you feel healthy?

I’ve been working with one of my clients for almost a year now. I work in home for a company that does not have a clinic within my state, so I have been this client’s only RBT. I love working with him, but I’m worried that he’s not making much progress anymore and that we’re stuck at one level. He’s mainly learning life skills, which he has the ability to do but he needs the extra motivation. How long do most RBT’s work with their client for? I don’t want to leave the case but I’m worried that we’re not making as much progress with him as we could be.
