I've been to Japan a few times now so this trip me and my spouse tried to take it a bit easier. I still learned a few new things, though, and I thought I'd share some advice.

Itinerary: Tokyo 4 days (Akihabara, Ikebukoro, Kichijoji, Asakusa, day trip to Nikko), Naha 4 days (scuba diving open water course), Zamami Island 3 days, and then return to Tokyo for 2.5 days (Jiyugaoka, Shibuya, Shunjuku).

Title. Moving to the lower mainland from interior BC. Yes, I know the cost of housing will kill me, but it is what it is. I'm looking to find a place around Coquitlam, as it has at least two skytrain stations, but I don't know much about the place otherwise. I'd like to live somewhere fairly walkable and bikeable, with decent amenities. I also don't know the dangerous parts. Where should I start looking? Thank you!

One argument you often find online when discussing improved mobility and transit in the city (ie: non-car based infrastructure) is a cavalcade of complaints from drivers that they pay for the roads and therefore are entitled to them. Therefore, when you ask for bike infrastructure they recommend taxing bicyclists to pay for it via registration fees, among other things. Does this argument hold merit? How much of the road is directly paid for by drivers through gas and registration taxes anyway?

Instead of 482-B, over time we would name our blocks as we went along. Sometimes before during layout and block prep, sometimes during as the planters gave feedback. It's a lot more fun having named blocks like "Jigsaw," or "Shotgun", or "Widowmaker" when talking about pieces you've worked on the past. Any good block names you remember?
