Reversing the Rally (Thrakpost)

Lorepost (closed interaction)📓🔒

The Ralektharum. The THING that has been causing so much trouble. Stealer of souls, ultimate master of the black mages of Thrakmoor. Even if every soldier and servant and spellcaster were slain this THING would simply continue in possession of every soul it had ever stolen. At least that's what the Bismuth had come to believe from their questioning and studying. They had no method to slay the Ralektharum (if slay is even the term you'd use.) so they focused on freeing those it had taken.

Their idea came about during a conversation with one Aldavinn Maunderitch. A user of planar magic and author of that book on planes that spontaneously appeared a while back. The Bismuth believed that by u

How often do y'all interact with individuals that have incredibly long but finite lifespans? I used to do it a lot but it got like watching a dog grow old. Now I just chum it with sentient black holes.(Still finite but waaay longer)

We see from caster Gil that it also contains humanity's mystic codes alongside other treasures. Hommonculi are 100% people but they are also 100% a creation of human magecraft. So does GoB contain the Ur Hommonculus? Similarly if humanity reaches the point where they have non magic AI in robots would GoB contain said robots?

Reasoning With The Seasons

Khymerian Politics

Khymeria was a massive continent. Even its smallest nations took ages to traverse on horseback. That wasn't even taking into account the monsters and weather. This made boats and flying machines the main mode of long range transport to areas without a teleport beacon. Because of this Ephemera and her accompanying courtiers awoke one of their ancient treasures.

The dwarves of the Slumbering Desert were the descendants of the ancient Zerethian peoples. Though much was lost during the fall and their production power decayed the Dwarves still maintained a selection of treasures from their ancestors. Outside of their lands Zerethian Artifact was a term reserved for the highest tier of artifacts

So badly. I 100% get what the author had in mind but the execution was so bad it ruined the story for me. It felt like a different story/outcome from the one that the premise seemed to be indicating.

I feel bad because I was super vibing with the series up until this point. I feel like any alternative path other than the spirit contract stuff showing up would have made the story better. It also goes into one of my most hated tropes in fiction which is the "I know you made your decision (becoming queen) but I don't think you'll be happy so I'll go behind your back and force you not to make said decision."

I also feel like that part could have been solved by just switching some scenes aroun

Change of Scenery. (Dracarius Isle post)

Lorepost (open interaction) 📖

"When can we go back?"

That was the only question on the Wyrmlings lips. it had been a week and a half since they had visited the Dracarius isles. They had been laughing on the way back but quickly lost their shine when inside their lair. it was underground, safe in the Realms, full of mana, but lacking any dynamic element that was necessary for draconic growth.

BD had set up an arrangement with the lords of the Dracarius isles. Though lords was probably the wrong term it's how BD thought about their might. A second lair (a house) would be constructed in the isles. A place where DB and their Wyrmlings could spend some of time away from the Bismuth realms or for BD to leave the

"This is razor 3 at conflict site. Deploying aerial troops in 3...2...."

The Opalist reinforcements were cut off when the facility they were approaching erupted into a Titanic pillar of flame. They thought it was some kind of Aqshy explosive. That was until two blue patches appeared near its top and its body morphed into having arms and legs rather than a vague shape.

The pillar lifted its arm and with a casual wave of the hand the Opalist ships burst into flames and fell to the ground. Fire spread out from the facility into the landscape around it. The Opalists had replaced all life in the area with an interconnected network of bioforms and now the fire was following that network outward

The Price of Heroism (Madness post)

Lorepost (closed interaction)📓🔒

I guess we can't keep the lie going

It was never a lie. Simply an interpretation of events

Twisted so far it's become no different than a lie

Enough. Either way. It's time for the truth

...

The Bismuth had arrested one of the storytellers. Those spreading stories infected with malformed heroism causing men and women to march to their doom. It was foulness. Abusing a trait meant to elevate people and using it as a curse. But they weren't going to get away with it fit much longer.

A special containment chamber was constructed by the Bismuth and their allies to study and hopefully subvert the infection. The Bismuth's idea was a bit strange but they had been given permission to at
