I've owned and currently own a few DI gas engines. We've also had a few diesels with DI in the family (mainly my dad's Duramaxes for camper towing). I do my entire family's car maintenance, and I've cleaned my fair share of DI intake valves over the years. But I've noticed the diesels don't seem to have the carbon deposit issues. Why is that?
I've always wondered who 89 (mid-tier) gas was for. I've only ever heard of cars either requiring 87 minimum or 91 minimum. Never 89 as a minimum.
Using a higher octane rating than what your ECM is tuned for has no positive benefits at all (been proven time and time again-just give it a Google and you'll find a multitude of scientific tests proving it) Most cars have a factory tune, of course, so therefore going by the owner's manual is what most people should do.
I guess you could, theoretically, tune an engine originally tuned for 87 to and then purposefully tune the ECM for 89. But...at that point...why wouldn't you just do 91/93 and get the most power out of your setup?
So yea. Who i

Considering the multitude of positive effects that the frequent use of Top Tier gasoline in your vehicle, it's hard to argue that anything but convenience is a decent reason to let carbon build up in your fuel system/pistons/rings/injectors.
Why should someone be geh?
(This was a joke on that ancient internet news interview from Africa. Sorry my posts are dumb lol)
Like, they've obviously not looked at my post history AT ALL. But it's been happening a lot lately and it's starting to really piss me off.

It keeps happening and it's pissing me off.
Anyone have any experience with any of these "magic AI boxes?
I just got a raging deal on an OttoAibox P3 Pro CarPlay AI Box that I couldn't pass up after reading reviews.
Right now I'm driving a 2016 Camaro. I've been using a jenky-ass wireless android auto adapter that works about 80% of the time, but has a mind if its own and is also slow as balls.
Anyway, a "magic AI box" intrigued me, not only because of it being a higher quality way for me to get wireless android auto, but it can also run Android 13 standalone and have its own apps.
When I track my car, I like to have a second, no data plan phone attached to the windshield with a readout of a lot of my temps and other info. So,

Yup. Nissan didn't do the normal "through the transmission" stock trans cooler setup that makes it super easy to add an aux trans cooler. You have to go find this abomination of a metal thing to swap for the factory two port version. Then you use the extra two ports as a transmission fluid send and receive for the aux cooler.
So dumb. All to stop this stupid thing from constantly going into limp mode.
What a genius piece of superior Japanese engineering we have here lmao.
