I have Wine installed, and the software I need works, but I need to open the terminal and "$wine file.exe" to open it, which is pretty stupid tbh.

How do I have it run from a double-click in the file manager?

I used to be able to do that in Loki, by clicking it and selecting Wine as the default handler for the filetype, but now it doesnt appear to work on Juno.

Edit to clarify: Gaming works as expected. Usage in the desktop is what is slow. English is not my 1st language, sorry.

With the release of Proton I decided to finally make the switch completely on my desktop PC. Its performing well, but it isnt, let me explain:

Every DE thats not super-lightweight* (and intended for sub 1ghz/1gb ram computers) stutters and lags like crazy, with an apparent delay between clicking/dragging stuff and the action happening, its like its not a smooth framerate with high input lag, but the cursor itself moves smoothly.

Apart from that, CPU usage is OK, memory usage is OK, and every other task is really fast, it seems to be strictly related to ren

Recently installed eos on my main desktop, but there doesnt seem to be an option to adjust refresh rate.

Setting it manually with xrandr, made it so that my cursor moves at 120fps, and my monitor reports being set at 120hz, but pantheon doesnt seem to render at the greater framerate. (moving and scrolling windows still feels like 60fps)

Im on Juno Beta, with nvidia 390 drivers and a dual 120hz/60hz monitor setup.

Is this a known issue? Is there something I can do to fix this?

bonus question: I cant fullscreen a youtube video in the secondary monitor, whats up with that?

edit: forgot to mention it happens on Loki too.
