I've been trying to learn more about solvers and inner workings of dops, so I started trying to get different ones to interact for fun.

But I'm stuck on vellum and flip. So far I've gotten vellum to affect flip but I can't get it the other way around, essentially trying to implement floating bouancy.

I did try sourcing the vell field that at least got me to move the cloth but still sinks.

So I know the proper way to do this is sim the guides then generate fur from said guides.

But on the rare occasion I've been given a final groom from another studio that is basically just curves.

Deleting say like 90 % dimming that and guide deforming just breaks everytime.

And siming the full groom takes hours.

Usually I just redo the groom from scratch the proper way for siming but I'd love to know if anyone has a good workflow or trick for siming a final groom.

So I've always wondered why this is the go to thing .

Wouldn't it be better if you just bured them or threw them in the ocean with out the plastic. They would decay faster and if you found a plastic bag buried it would already be suspicious.
