I’m looking for any ideas on where I can buy a refurbished or used phone.

My kid’s phone stopped holding a charge and a replacement didn't work. Unfortunately, it happened right before they’re leaving for college. And I'd like to send them off with something that works.

Any recommendations for local stores or resellers? Open to any borough and will even go to NJ or PA. Thank you!

I am ISO some photo/picture heavy magazines of any type. Anyone know any sources or stores that sell them?

My favorite places don't seem to have any. FB seems to be more about collectors. I have not found much on CL or Buy Nothing. They are for some crafting so I was trying to obtain some inexpensively or that weren't valuable or of importance. I figure there has to be somewhere in the city. Thank you!

--HON Lateral 4 drawer filing cabinet. In very good used condition. Has light wear and tear on exterior, but functional and a great cabinet overall. It is white in color. There are movable rails for letter or legal size papers.

This is a good sized piece. But more bulky than anything. It does really help to have 2 people to move, but you know yourself better than me. Fits into a bigger SUV no problem. First floor, front door pickup. I have a few stairs going to street. I can help you get into it a car. Pickup available now.

Hello, friends. I am trying to make the Sincerely Rylee dress from George and Ginger (pattern has been retired so can't link. but this blog shows an example of it). The back loops are giving me a run for my money.

I can't seem to make it work as they pattern illustrations appear. And I have not been able to find any tutorials or resources on a similar technique. But I may be looking all wrong lol

Two of the illustrations of the idea from the pattern https://imgur.com/a/Vmf1zV5

Has anyone made this dress who has any insight? Or know how to add a loop to a bound edge of a bodice? Because

We found an AirPod on the street in Bed-Stuy.

Looks to be in good condition. It was found this several days ago, and I tried posting to Nextdoor, Craigslist, and some FB groups. But no luck so far. So I thought I would try to expand the search.

I was able to use someone else's case to confirm the person's name.

Please let me know if you or someone you know if missing one. And we would be happy to get it back to you. Thank you!

My kid is graduating, and he landed on a pair of Bass Weejuns as the shoes he would like to wear (my Dad always wore them). However, I don't have time to order them, and I have not been able to find them locally. Or any places I might check out.

I wandered if anyone had seem them for sale anywhere in the area. Brooklyn and Manhattan are easiest. But I would travel and go to great lengths to find them.

Also, open to something similar if anyone has any recommendations on shoes or a place to go to buy shoes. I don't know a whole lot about men's shoes.

I really appreciate any and all insight. Thank you so very much.

I have a couch to pass along. It has pull out bed with its mattress. it is an Italian brand I cannot remember.

It is a light green color and microfiber, but it has dark blue and tan/cream covers that fit it snugly like a fitted sheet. I have kids so it could definitely use a cleaning on the green, but no blood, ink, wine, or anything. Covers in VCG.

Otherwise, it is in very good condition structurally. It has 2 large cushions but can easily seat 3 people. Approximately 86" long and 35" deep.

Pick up in Bed-Stuy. Thank you! Hope you are keeping on.

Hello, neighbors. I am looking for a power cord to an HP computer monitor.

I am hoping to hook it up to a laptop so I can have a bigger screen but need a power cord. I was hoping to find one local.

Any ideas on where I could find one or do you have one to sell?

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi, AskNYC! Hope you are all keeping on.

I am ISO of a 3D printer or Acrylic cutter who is open now.

I am making masks for donation and using a paper pattern. I was looking for a more durable option, which would make the process more efficient and productive. Someone created reusable pattern pieces. Unfortunately, I do not have access to a printer or any tools in these times.

It is a small scale job so I am looking for a small shop. For reference, the files are located here: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4309102

I am in Brooklyn so prefer that, but I am willing to travel ofc to anywhere in NYC.

Please let me know if you have any leads for me. Thank you.

Nitehawk Cinema Williamsburg is playing a kung fu classic, Shaolin Invincibles on Friday, 11/1 and Saturday, 11/2 at midnight. There will be a live score by dr. Israel as part of a live soundsystem show/real sound cinema.

I am going to check it out with a few friends and wanted to see if anyone else was going or wanted to join. The more, the merrier.

Nitehawk has a bar so I will likely be there early to check it out. And there is food and a late night menu. I have never been, but I have had heard grea things.

Feel free to hit me up if you want to go or are going. I am always down to meet new great people.

I volunteer at a shelter in my neighborhood with some really wonderful kids and families. Their movie collection is outdated and much of it is poor quality. I have been trying to update it with family-friendly movies so the movie nights are a little bit more entertaining and they have better movies to check out.

I have been looking for more burnable DVD-Rs and family-friendly movies. They don't have a machine that accepts a flash drive so I am limited to DVDs at this time unfortunately.

I thought someone might know some places (ideally in Brooklyn, Manhattan or Queens for ease of access but will travel for a good deal! Online suggestions welcome as well, but I'd like to deliver some asap):

My otherwise lovely 2 year old niece dumped some water on my laptop, which I usually extensively for work and school. And because of the latter, buying a new one is not in the cards for me right now.

My friend mentioned she found someone who fixed hers for her, but she cannot remember their contact info.

I wondered if anyone had any recommendations on someone who can help address water damage in a laptop.

Specific details: Early 2015 Mac Airbook, keyboard lights up but the screen remains black, data is not important. I turned it off after it happened and let it dry out for 6 days. No luck it seems. I didn't want to mess with it too much.

Thank you! I appreciate any insight.
