Hi all!
I recently reacquired my first Aston Martin, 2009 DBS with 60.000 km on the clock.
Image from back when I first owned the car
The car is needed of some love, so I'm fixing various minor issues with it.
One thing, that I noticed is that the sound quality when receiving phone calls are incredibly poor. Almost sounds like a AM radio with static (not sure how else to describe it) and people I talk with say it's very hard to hear me talk.
I did some AI-ing and it said it could be a bad connection between the digital bluetooth module and the DAC which is analogu
Hi all!
I'm completely new into Super Automatic machines, and have decided to just plunge in and get the Jura Z10 with a Cool Control for our small office.
We have set everything up and it working and make great coffee, but I can't "link" the Cool Control to the machine. It appears I need a Transmitter to attach to it.
However, reading about the transmitter, it seems that if I go this route and use this, I can no longer connect to the machine from the J.O.E. app.
I called my supplier, but I didn't really learn a lot more about what is the best route to go.
Can any one shed some light on whether it's true that you can only either connect the Coon Control or the app. And if so, which
I just took delivery of - new to me - 2021 Aston Martin DBS 007 Bond Edition, and I've had it for a drive this weekend. What a beautiful car - I simply love it. The car is now on 3200 KM (2000 miles). It also showed a few issues, which I'm looking for some feedback on.
CarPlay audio only working intermittently
I had CarPlay mounted from the Aston Martin dealer. I paired up the Bluetooth in the infotainment system and then setup CarPlay as guided. It connects just fine every time, but sound is only working randomly both for audio and phone calls.
If I switch the "source" on the iPhone to use the car's bluetooth instead of "CarPlay" it will also work for both audio and calls.
I've al
I'm super excited to be taking delivery of a - new to me - 2021 Aston Martin DBS 007 Bond Edition. It's limited to 25 cars - just a "standard" DBS, but with Q bespoke styling.
The car has only limited kilometres (miles) on it, but I'm intending to use it at least for a couple of months, maybe adding up to 5.000 kilometres to it.
Can't wait to be back out in an Aston Martin 😁
Hi!
I'm shortly moving my small business into a shared office space, where we get our own room. They provide internet to the room on a separated VLAN and there's maybe 2-3 outlets and a dedicated Wifi. As such, I would probably need to put up a few smaller Unifi switches. We'll be between 2-4 people in the office plus some stuff like a TV, printer, presentation screen and so on.
I might also consider a camera just for security.
It's been a long time since I've run Unifi without a Dream Machine and I think that would not be needed since Internet is already provided/routed.
Would the right solution be a Cloudkey here to manage a few devices?
Hi!
I have about 4 AC SHD access points around my site. We recently took down 3 U6 Pro and I was wondering if it made sense to switch around to them?
The SHD version was quite powerful when it came out and it has been rock solid. The U6 Pro has also be running good on the other site.
Would you guys "retire" the SHDs or keep them going?
Thanks in advance!
On April 1st (no fool!) I ran a long overdue upgrade on my Debian Linux, which bumped my Dokku from 0.32.4 to 0.34.2 and it immediately killed my running Django site. After trying to start and rebuild, I kept getting `Operation not permitted` errors when the process was trying to `chown`. Looking at the changelog, some stuff relating to this was definitely changed.
Example of the error would look like this: `chown: changing ownership of '/app/.release': Operation not permitted`.
Also, trying to rebuild through the git receiver gave the same error.
Through apt, I've now downgraded to 0.33.9 and everything builds and runs fine again.
I lost some of the output for this as I was fo
Hey all!
I recently got a new Defender 110 (2020) and it's current Pivi OS is 4.0.1. But I think the newest version is 4.1.x. The car is imported from Germany and I'm driving it in Denmark. I've recently renewed the data subscription for it, and that seems to work.
I've also connected it to Wifi both at home and at my work where it's parked and locked many hours a day.
Do I need to take it to a workshop or is there a way to "force" it to check for updates?
Thanks in advance!
I recently got a used Defender 110 (which I shared - it’s Santorini black) and I tempted to do some styling on it.
Specifically, I really like the Urban Automotive parts. I’m thinking wide track arches, rear spoiler, front canard spoiler, sidesteps and WX-2 wheels. I’m also considering doing the “black pack” but a little unsure as I would have to have my local workshop do it as i I’m no where near an official reseller/styler.
Do any of you have experience with Urban and getting the styling done by your local workshop?
Any recommendations for alternatives? Or things to consider?
Thanks! 🙏
We have an old Bekväm step stool, which we've loved. We actually "inherited" from my wife's grandmother some years ago. A great, sturdy piece of furniture.
Today, we went to IKEA because we wanted to get another of these. Immediately, when lifting the package it felt very light, but I didn't think much about it.
When I started assembling it immediately felt like a very cheap. Gone were the solid tree pieces, and it was replaced by some kind of lightweight composite materiale. Overall, the new stool feels very flimsy and like something you buy to throw away, unlike the original version.
For comparison, I took some pictures and also weighed the two stools. The old one is nearly twice the
