Does anyone feel like they’re not enough because of getting RA? Does anyone feel like they can’t contribute enough monetarily? Does anyone feel like you’ve let your family down, even though you never asked for this? Does anyone feel like people just can’t accept your situation, and constantly remind you of your not contributing enough, even if it’s not said?

My first month on Rinvoq felt pretty good. Able to walk. More energy. Now Feel like my energy has taken a dip? Lots of stiffness & pain, but I can walk. Wondering if this is typical? Not sure if I’m in a flare or what. My body seems to be attacking a new area. My Rheum skipped biologics. Maybe I should be happy being able to get off the couch. Who knows how the next med will work. I’ll be seated again.

Hi. I’m most likely moving on from Methotrexate to Enbrel or Humira…It helped, but not enough to actually have a life.
I’m feeling anxious about an “infusion”. I would rather skip it & go right to Rinvoq. That’s not the way it works per the insurance companies. Even the Rinvoq savings cards read you have to try TNF inhibitors first.
What is involved with an infusion? Can someone describe what is involved. How long it takes? Does it hurt?
I know they have self injectibles, but it’s more costly.

Anybody have any insight on some of the possible treatments for RA and autoimmune diseases in the future? I have heard mention of GLP 1, naltrexone, vaccines. I know there are some things that have to go through clinical trials that are not available yet like the vaccines that might be used for management and prevention. But things like GLP 1, & naltrexone. I’ve heard they have some kind of positive effect but I’m not sure these things actually slow down the progression. I’ve just been hearing all sorts of things and just wanting to know if you heard about them as well. and if you have any information or have talked to your doctors about them?

Hi all. Was taking Methotrexate with hydroxychloroquine. Methotrexate was working, but not well enough for me to really do anything outside of the bare necessities of my day. And this is with letting store doing my grocery shopping & my picking it up.
The only thing I hadn’t tried along with methotrexate was leflunomide. My doctor moved me to Rinvoq. So far, it’s not working as well.
I can’t help but think I should go backwards & try that out. I’m not sure if every rock needs to be turned over before moving on.

Is anyone taking Rinvoq? I am wondering if you can have an alcoholic beverage. I’ve been taking Methotrexate & had to make sure I did not partake on the day I take it (once a week). I see that Rinvoq is taken daily & read that drinking alcohol can increase side effects. I am not sure if this means I can not enjoy a cocktail once in a while. Or if I can & they are more so referring to heavy drinking.

Does anybody take methotrexate and feel like it creates lots of nasal drainage? Not sick, it’s clear. And anytime I go outside in the cold my nose never stops running. Is this a just a common thing with the medicines, or is it just a common thing with a cold weather? I even wake up every day having to blow my nose. I take like three different allergy medicines 24 hour and two different nasal sprays. (Sick of it)!

Why is it I need a truckload of meds to even keep this pain at bay? Mtx, anti- inflam, pregab, tramadol. Sometimes I can’t believe the amount it takes to function & live somewhat pain free. Is everyone else in the same boat? My disease progressed to all of my joints at this stage. When I tell my dr I need 1 more dose to sleep through the night, he hesitates bc the pharms are giving the drs hell over the Rx’s.

Does anyone have a huge problem sitting with their legs “criss crossed applesauce” for an extended period of time? Feel like it inflames my knees to the point where I have a hard time walking or putting pressure on it them. I just can’t figure out why that causes me such a problem.

The time lost diagnosing seronegative can take decades. It's disappointing how it can go unrecognized for so long in some patients that have spent many years visiting Drs in attempts to find out what could possibly be wrong. So many lost years and opportunities. It seems not all doctors are collaborating. There's dismissing, doubting, and bewilderment. Even in the practice of Rheumatology. How can this be?

How do people with seronegative RA know if your medicine is actually slowing down the disease (bone erosion etc…) Dr’s put you on combos of meds like methotrexate & others to control inflammation & pain. Lots of seronegative people have no markers with bloodwork, but can have all the same pain & stiffness minus the nodules & deformities. So if the combination of medicines (methotrexate, Lyrica, celebrex, tramadol etc.) make life bearable with pain & inflammation, how do you know if the methotrexate is effective enough in slowing down the disease progression.

Anyone develop any lumps while taking methotrexate? I feel a lump on side of my head & it’s mentioned in side effects.
