Hi all! I was diagnosed early at 13 weeks and I’m now 18 weeks pregnant. I’m running out of snack ideas. I’ve been doing a lot of cheese sticks with pretzels or crackers. Peanut butter (or cheese) and apples slices. Low sugar granola bars. And Greek yogurt. But I’m getting a little bored after a month of this.

What are some of your favorite snacks?

I am 12-weeks pregnant with our second child and work in an academic lab as a PhD level research scientist. I was notified earlier this week that my contract won’t be renewed due to funding shortages (I haven’t disclosed my pregnancy to anyone so there’s no foul play here). My employer requires a 6 month notice so, if I choose to finish out my contract, my last day will be roughly two weeks before I’m due (I’m also likely to be induced early). My employer has a non-renewal program in which I can choose to leave early and I can walk away with 5-weeks pay and they’ll continue paying their insurance contributions for up to 12 months (or until I get on a new employer sponsored health insurance p

I've been on 1000 mg/day of metformin for the last 2 years and we're still in the thick of infertility treatments due to secondary infertility. I (37F) have PCOS with insulin resistance and my husband (35M) has no male infertility factors. We've done 7 cycles of TI with letrozole (all failed), two egg retrievals that each resulted in a single fair quality euploid embryo, and both transfers failed (#1 implantation failure and #2 CP).

Anyway, about 6 months after starting metformin, we rechecked my A1C and it had gone down into the normal range. Recently I had it rechecked before our last transfer and it has gone up again to 5.9 which is in the pre-diabetic range. I sent a message to my RE t

Advice for 3rd ER?

Advice Needed!

Our most recent FET has been determined to be a CP. I am heartbroken and not sure where to go from here. My husband (35M, no MFI) and I (37F, PCOS w/insulin resistance) have decided to do one more ER. For background:

1st ER: Primed with BC then started stims with 75 cc menopur and 150 cc gonal-f and gradually increased over 8 days to 150 cc menopur and 300 cc gonal-f. Dual trigger of hcg and lupron. There was 12 follicles above 10 mm morning of trigger. 8 eggs retrieved, 5 eggs mature, all 5 fertlized (conventional IVF), 3 fertilized normally, 2 x day-6 blasts, 1 pgt-a normal blast. Fully medicated FET failed to implant.

2nd ER: Primer with BCd then started stims at 150cc menopur and 300

When I asked about grading of our euploid embryo (Day-6 blast), my RE said it was graded as a 3 which is "fair". Anyone else clinic use a grading scale of just single numbers like this? I'm trying to find out more information but, I can't seem to find anything useful on Google.

My clinic uses Natera for PGT-A testing. My retrieval was on June 14. My embryo biopsies were received by Natera on June 22nd. I received the invoice to pay for the testing on July 3rd and paid the invoice the same day. And then I didn't hear anything from my clinic the rest of the week... So I called my clinic on July 10th to see if they had the results, and the nurse I spoke to said they hadn't received them yet from Natera. I tried contacting Natera through their customer service email and have gotten no response. When I tried calling their customer service number, they direct you to email their customer service....

For my first retrieval in February, results were sent to my clinic the

Hi All,

Last fall we planted a couple endless summer hydrangea plants and several boxwood bushes. While all but one of our boxwoods have started to return to life, none of the hydrangeas have. Is it too early still? How long should we wait to see if they survived the winter? Our well-established hostas have already started popping out of the ground too, which is also making me think that perhaps there’s no hope for the hydrangeas.

If it matters, we live in a first ring suburb of the cities.

I had my beta today after my first FET (fully medicated) of our only euploid embryo but, all hpts have been negative so, I know that it has failed. I am heartbroken. My RE is supposed to call this afternoon with beta results which seems pointless since I already know I am not pregnant. I wasn't offered a regroup/WTF meeting after ER but, did speak to her on the phone briefly after PGT-A results came back. So I just want to have questions ready for when she calls today in case this is my only opportunity to talk to her before we head in to a second ER.

For background, I turned 37 in January and my HSG and SHG were clear. Per bloodwork/ultrasound, I was diagnosed with PCOS and insulin resis

I’m in the middle of my FET protocol and I just realized that I’ve been taking my estrace wrong the last few days. I was on five days of 1 pill per day and when I moved up to 2 pills a day, I was supposed to take one in the morning and one in the evening. I somehow forgot that part and have been taking both in the morning. I’m going to contact my clinic but, has anyone else made this mistake? Did I screw up my whole cycle? I’m freaking out this morning.

EDIT: I just heard from a nurse at my clinic and she said it's all okay! Today I'm going up to three estrogen pills and will remember to take them morning, noon, and night from here on out.

We have a single pgt-a normal embryo and we’ve been told it’s grade 3. On day of freeze, the embryologist I spoke with said it was “fair”. And now I’m being told it’s graded as 3 and corresponds to about a 45% chance of live birth. Anyone work in a lab that only gives a single number for grading? How does it work? Does that actually correspond to “fair” quality? I am having a hard time finding anything online that explains this grading system.

We got a bit of a non-update update on our two embryos today (Day 5). No blasts yet but, the embryologist said that one embryo was a morula and the other is in the compaction stage. She said they would watch them for another two days at the latest. She made it sound like compaction happens before morula. Is that right? Or is it that the morula undergo compaction? When does compaction occur?

I underwent an egg retrieval yesterday. 8 eggs were retrieved. Of those 8, 5 were mature. All 5 fertilized by conventional IVF but, only 2 of them fertilized normal. The other 3 had abnormal fertilization.

I sent a message to my clinic to see if the embryologist noted whether they were 1 PN or >2 PN (I guess they could also be 0 PN) but, haven’t heard back yet.

Anyway, what does this mean? Would ICSI help if we decide to do another retrieval? Is there anything we can do to increase rate of normally fertilized eggs?

We’ll get a day 3 report for the 2 normally fertilized eggs on Monday but, I’m feeling pretty down overall. I was hoping for more embryos from the 8 eggs that were retriev

Anyone else experience a high abnormal fertilization rate? I had an egg retrieval yesterday and only 8 eggs were retrieved. Of the 8 eggs, 5 were mature. All 5 eggs fertilized by conventional IVF (my husband’s SA numbers have been great) but, only 2 of them had normal fertilization. The other 3 fertilized abnormally. I messaged our clinic to see if they could tell us whether the abnormal ones were 1 PN or >2PN and waiting to hear back but, thought I’d reach out to see if anyone else experienced something like this and what - if anything - their clinic/RE recommended or changed for future ERs, etc.

We are really disappointed right now and can only hope that the two embryos we have make i
