2025 Rogue SV

One of the reasons I chose the Rogue instead of replacing my beloved CX5 with another CX5 was the longer maintenance intervals of 12,000km vs 8,000km for the Mazda. Now the dealer is saying I live in a severe use location (Alberta) but my interpretation of the owner's manual based on my use of the vehicle meets the standard maintenance schedule recommendations. Curious of your thoughts, should I go with more frequent intervals or am I being scammed?

I have a 2025 Rogue SV with 235/60r18 tires, I haven't been able to find winter tires in that size for a reasonable price, would it be bad to put 235/65r17 tire/rims on? The 235/65r17 are the size used on the 2025 Rogue S and the difference in overall diameter is 1mm.

Has anyone used the 17" size tires that are on the 'S'' model on their SV model instead of the stock 18" size? If so, did you have any problems with your Rogue?

I realise this is a bit of a nosey question but I'm looking for some reassurance that my retirement budget is on track and sufficient for a comfortable retirement. I'm also aware that I am in a fortunate position to be asking and to have a budget which is higher than some people manage on.

I'm looking at $7,000/ month before tax for 2 people, no medical coverage but considering purchasing a plan, modest but paid for home, 2 older cars which will be replaced by one new car (take on payment or pull from savings), travel a couple of times a year (about $12k per year), no super expensive hobbies but golf a little, kayak, ride bikes etc. I'm hoping some of you can share what you spend in a month
