42, 2 kids, 5'2 (maybe 5'1.5?). It's been 5 years since I started working on losing the baby/postpartum weight. Went from 145 --> 115 slowly, and then I stopped tracking and putting too much energy into it. I was still very active - mostly running (got back into marathoning), I got bored with weight lifting so I stopped doing much of that. Over the past couple of years, the weight crept up just a little bit with the miles (I'm insatiable when my mileage go

I posted a few days ago about a weird situation where I was contacted on IG by someone who had screenshots of my husband's posts on sex subreddits soliciting for sex, and claimed his wife had an affair with him (husband). I was struggling with what to do with this information, and ended up deleting my post because I was worried my SO would find it.

The update is that it was him. He was posting on r4r and various fetish subreddits talking to other women. He swears up and down that he never met anyone and it was purely escapism and chatting, but I don't even care. One posting, two postings, 1 woman, 500 women...who cares. If you break a vase, who cares how broken it is? I confronted him thi

Hi ladies -

I need the wisdom and support of the community here. If you look through my post history, you'll see a lot of stuff about how great my partner is, how supportive he is, how much of an equal partner and great dad he is. Well, we recently posted about our wedding anniversary on IG (we've been together a long time) and today, I got a message from an anonymous IG account asking if we were in an open relationship, and if not, he's got a lot to reveal.

He told me his wife was having an affair with him in 2023. Sent me screenshots of (supposedly) my spouse posting in R4R subreddits and other subreddits looking for sex. Sent me various usernames (which have now been deleted) on Tele

I know not everyone has started yet, but it seems like a lot of us have.

My kindergartener, while waiting in line with other kids/parents, patted my crotch and yelled MOM WHERE'S YOUR PENIS?????

And then my pre-teen kept eyeing me and saying, do you HAVE to walk me to school? /dead

My oldest (7) does karate right now a couple of times a week, but I would also really love to get him into soccer or another group sport. I think it'd be great for him to learn to work as a team with other kids, and also experience what it's like to lose and win. I'm worried that we might be packing his schedule too much with school, homework, and extracurriculars, but I also see kids doing multiple sports and activities and I'm not sure how people make it work.

How do you all juggle everything (especially with younger kids) and still ensure they have enough downtime to relax at home and spend time with the family?

I've seen so many posts where people are afraid of eating "so much food" or frustrated that they're eating "sooooo much" but still hungry. I get that as shorties - and especially if you're sedentary - you don't get as many calories as tall people if you're trying to lose weight. But 1600 calories of food is NOT A LOT OF FOOD. Neither is 1800. Neither is 2000 calories! (Yes, even for you, Tiny Tina at 4'11!) Eating 2000 calories in a day is not an out of control binge. That's like a couple of spoonfuls of peanut butter and a little fucking block of cheese. It is FINE to eat that much (or more!) - sometimes, if you are trying for a deficit, but also every fucking day if you are super a

Tale as old as time: I had some babies and took a long hiatus from my love of running, and as a result, gained a bunch of weight, especially after Kid #2.

Some takeaways:

  1. Start small. You always set yourself up for failure if you jump in and try to workout every day for an hour and overhaul your diet. Pick one thing and just focus on making that change - whether it's working out for 10 minutes, 3x a week (what I started with), or swapping out your afternoon chips for carrots. Even now, if I'm not feeling a workout, I'll tell myself to just do 10 minutes - and inevitably, I just do the whole workout because I'

For anyone who is trying to lose weight, here's your reminder not to get too hung up on any particular week or even month. We all have plateaus during our progress - it's ok, it's normal! Our bodies are not computers and calculators, and our weight fluctuates constantly due to ton of factors. Don't get so caught up on whatever plateau or weight gain you see that you miss how far you've come and your entire progress.
