Going down this weekend from Dallas because a friend saw Helberg's bbq.

I've tried looking over the sub to look for other things, the only thing I knew of is Magnolia. I saw one post almost a decade ago saying you'll wait 2-3 hours to be there, what are current crowds like? We don't want to buy anything, just window shop if it makes sense.

How long would you want to spend at Fabled or Mayborn Museum?

Anything else I should look at? Also, the sub rule "don't ask for drugs" how common was that the rule needed to be put in?

Awesome timing, nothing seemed off until a few hours before it stopped together. 2016 rx 350 with battery last replaced apparently 9/22. about 3 week ago I had it for a 90k service and got everything relevant fixed.

I know nothing about cars, we tried jumping it and nothing. It had very little give on the brakes and gave a braking power low. Googling says this can be because of low power on a battery or software glitch.

This is also in Texas where it's been in 100+ weather a lot and had a stint of freezing lately though majority garaged.

Last weekend of restaurant week and there's no reservations for tomorrow.

Is it even worth trying a walk in? If I can't get a table what about 2 seats at the bar?

I'm not concerned about the health aspects but just trying to get a sanity check.

Most of the time I get it is a cooked texture with pink. There can be variations of pink, but it's at least the texture of cooked beef. The one I got today was red and raw ground beef texture. The waiter argued with me that it was medium rare and they hammered it as a well if you want to cook it more we can as a solution.

I got down voted to hell saying we got roasted not keeping Caruso. At the time he could shoot and we had a team of Lebron/AD.

We knew he was a good defender, but with adding Westbrook we were going towards no shooting. To get the other vets at min deals who are better than most you promise playing time so they can rehab things.

I was at a game last month and entered into a giveaway and got called for a timeshare presentation.

They said there was a 90 minute presentation and then you go to the gifting section and select vouchers for airfare/hotels for 2 to Hawaii, Cancun or Vegas with the Vegas one being at one of their resorts like MGM grand.

Has anyone done this before and experience? I know they're going it'll be a hard sales tactic presentation and how bad timeshares are but were the resorts nice? I'm not expecting 5* anything, but at least passable would be fun.

Was there any more presentations you had to do onsite?

Seems every post I searched was very specific. I have a random 3 day weekend and don't really care about what I do, but I would like something worth driving for to eat while there.

Live in the northern burbs and don’t often want to go all that way for just a burger. Which would you pick?

From a couple past posts I’m considering Manhattan project tap room (burger or steak frites) Bowan house Adair’s saloon Amoury De Rodeo bar Heim bbq Roy g’s

Open to anything else that fits the bill of casual dinner ~ 25 min that you usually wouldn’t want to make a destination over going to but it’s a must try.

I asked about how to get to SFO and very helpful people suggested amtrak/bart. I know Bart they don't care.

But when booking it says I'm only allowed a check in sized bag and I have a full size suitcase. I did see a random question on r/Amtrak people saying that it just means that no one will help you with a bag and any normal thing you'd check with an airplane would be fine.

Is there any issue with that?

Love field parking

Airports (DFW/DAL)

I've been using American as a go to since the pandemic so always used DFW lots. I used to just park at the airport but now what's your go to spot?

I'll be going for a week if that matters.

I've been in the Davis area since the 90's, lived there from 2011-2018.

Chando's was a small place near Arden and expanded with mix results. Worth trying one of them?

Best burger currently? Pangea was my favorite as winning burger competition. Gunthers across the street was the way to get non burger people to go with.

What's a good way to get from Sac to SFO now with a full size suitcase?

What's something I can take family to a special dinner that is worth it on a Tuesday?
