what did y’all make of Jetsun’s experience in the fog of lost souls? do you think her spirit is really immune to the fog? or is her worst day something that she’s managed to make peace with, so she’s kinda okay to relive it indefinitely?

i really like the way the story wraps up, and i haven’t parsed some of it yet. i’m curious about your thoughts!

is Chaisee a good mother?

SpoilerDiscussion

she's not a good person, to put it mildly. i have a feeling both she and Kalyaan might be abusive parents to their child. poor kid, what a family to have been born into. what do you think happens to him?

hi y'all. my roommate does not take very many covid precautions, so i recently got an air purifier for the living room. since she comes in and out, i'm not really sure what the best system is for having it on. its not feasible to have it going all the time since i don't want to go through the filters that quickly, and especially since the electric bills have been so high this winter. does anyone have thoughts or suggestions? much appreciated!

who do y'all think substituted Moira in town council after she left?

semi-related, it occurred to me that David still owns the town by the end of the show. they didn't really mention it again after season 2. do you think he ends up doing something interesting with that?

i just now realized Kuvira made the giant mecha with the metal domes from Zaofu, that’s why she took them down. this is like my fourth rewatch lol

hello! i started my learning of native plant gardening like last week so this may be a silly question. but is there viability in wind dispersal of native plant seeds with assistance from a kite? has this been done before?

i'm looking forward to expanding my knowledge on this essential practice for our ecosystems :) thanks for your help!

covid safe joy

Uplifting :snoo_simple_smile:

what covid safe activities are truly fulfilling to you, and bring you joy?

i have a handful that are keeping me going. cuddling with my cats, watching my favorite tv shows, going to the park, appreciating the sunset, spending time with people outside. doing art, and writing. cooking can be nice occasionally. talking to people on the phone and over video call. oooh, taking online classes is a big one for me, learning in other ways like reading too. online gatherings are also great for me.

curious about your responses! hopefully give each other ideas and inspiration so we can try getting through the days with more ease

i’ve been around quite a few coughing people in the past few days, especially while getting groceries. it feels like i’m just waiting for the inevitable symptoms to appear. been testing negative so far, but the anxiety of those exposures is getting to me. sigh

my roommate does not take covid precuations. i just bought an air purifier, and i’m wondering if it’s best to put it in my room or in the living room? the capacity should be fine for either space, but i’m not sure which location will be safer for me. it would be nice to enter the living room and other shared spaces with less concern about her having been around. what do you think?

is eating while socializing something y’all still do at all? what would a relatively safe way to eat or drink with someone?

personally i don’t like eating meals with people, so that’s already a private process anyway. but it can be nice to have coffee, pastries, candy, snacks, drinks, etc when socializing. is the best option just to avoid that altogether when socializing? or are there effective ways to have moments like that safely?

i guess the main prevention methods are what they always have been: isolate if sick, test before meeting, fewer people the better, HEPA filter in room or outdoors in a breezy area. i would say masks but you can’t rly eat or drink with a mask on- hence my whole

feeling resentful of my roommate’s lack of covid safety precautions. i canceled my trip to see my family because of the covid wave, have been staying home most of the day, masking everywhere including in our shared spaces; meanwhile she just got back from traveling, hosted a large holiday party at our apartment, has gone out every night this week, and continues to live it up and celebrate like nothing is going on.

we used to be good friends but the resentment has just been growing and i don’t see her the same way anymore. it’s frustrating and sad and isolating, and makes me feel not very comfortable even at home. sigh!
