Hi everyone,
I recently started playing around with my brand new DS423 NAS. I set up my two 4TB drives in RAID 1 and have been exploring the system for about a week.

At this point, I took a moment to reflect on my setup:

  • For my use case (home use, family photos/videos, some documents), I don't really need RAID redundancy. In case of disk failure, I can afford to lose access to my files temporarily while restoring a backup.
  • I would like to use the storage space of the first drive + a portion of the second one.
  • Besides "important" files, I'll also have "trivial" files that I don't need to back up (movies and similar).

That said, I'm considering reorganizing things as follows:

Hi everyone, I've just discovered the series and loved it, I'll probably move to the books now.

First of all, sorry for my English, not a native speaker but I'll do my best.

So, let's accept all the sophons' mechanism to get to instant communication, but having the spaceship moving close to the speed of light wouldn't have as a result time passing much slower on the ship respect to Earth?

If this is the case, the message would move instantly from the Earth to the ship, but the time needed (on the ship) to listen to the message, thinking to an answer, reading the answer out loud, pressing the "send" button and so on... wouldn't all of this result in a lot more waiting time on Earth, actu

I have 4 ingredients that I want to combine to prepare a drink:

 amountprocarbsfats
milk100ml3.55.30.1
oats100g11627.7
oatbran100g13473.5
protein powder100g8247.5

and I want my drink to have 30.8g of protein, 58.97g of carbs and 12.46g of fats. Considering

  • x = amount of milk, y = amount of oats, z = amount of oatbran, v = amount of protein powder
  • m = milk, o = oats, b = oatbran, r = protein powder
  • p = poteins needed in the drink, c = carbs needed in the drink, f = fats needed in the drink
  • pm = proteins from 100ml of milk, co = carbs from 100 gr of oats, and so on...

I often use my Nexus 5 to navigate through reddit, I simply use the mobile version of the website, nothing else. The other day I was writing an answer to a post, I don't know what exactly happened, maybe I just tapped some keys I was not supposed to, but a quite long string suddenly appeared in the textarea. It was long 628 bytes/characters and it was made up of ALL the previous characters that I had pressed before that moment, without any space.

Trying to be more clear, imagine I had done something like this

  • looked for Anthony's phone number (found after having typed 4 chars)
  • searched "fried chicken recipe" on google
  • posted a comment on a forum: "I has no idea"
  • corrected the prev

Allora mi procuro il mio bel testo omnicomprensivo "The XYZ bible", o meglio ancora references ufficiali, language specification e quant'altro.
