I was just curious what additional rules people add onto their runs to make their own challenges more interesting/engaging for them? This isn’t a post meant to cause a debate on what’s the “best” or most “challenging” way to play or anything pero just to see how unique everyone’s own journey and ruleset is! 😊 I’ll share my personal ruleset in a comment below!

I know everyone is waiting for the next chapter to be released so we can continue along with the story, however I would like to remind everyone to wait PATIENTLY until then. Remember that Morikawa was hospitalized earlier this year and yes while he was discharged, he is well within his right to take his time in getting back to work on the series.

Currently it is unknown when the next chapter will be released as Weekly Shonen Magazine hasn’t advertised Hajime No Ippo for the next issue either. Updates will be provided as they come but please do not flood the subreddit with posts asking for the next chapter! They will be removed.

Per his Twitter, Morikawa was admitted to this hospital. He said if things go smoothly he will be back in a month, meaning the next chapter may not be released until May. Everyone please be patient as Morikawa recovers! I will keep everyone updated if any new information comes out.

There will be chapter release again this week. An official reason has not been provided but Morikawa’s gym, JBC Sports, does have a title match tomorrow. Please remain patient until the next chapter is released as always.

It was announced in the discord m, but Chapter 1516 will not be released this week due to health reasons provided by Weekly Shonen Magazine. The next chapter is also not scheduled for next weeks issue for unknown reasons. Expect the next chapter to be released on March 25 in Japan.

So when I first got into Nuzlocking years ago, I remember there were quite a bit of people making comics/stories/etc about their adventures. I remember reading a lot of runs and getting super invested into these stories ~~and even wanting to write my own~~ but of course things change as you get older and you move on with other things. Admittedly I’ve been checked out of the Nuzlocking scene for years and I know optimization is big thing now but I was just curious if people still make web comics about their adventures like they used to?

Hola! I just wanted to let everyone know that there will be no new chapter this week. The next chapter is scheduled to be released in the next issue on 12/10/25. Also there will be breaks between chapter releases for the month of December with the schedule being:

• 12/03/25 - Break • 12/10/25 - Round 1510 • 12/17/25 - Holiday Break • 12/24/25 - Round 1511 • 12/31/25 - Holiday Break • 01/07/26 - Round 1512
