This is a sci-fi short story I read recently, but that doesn't mean it was published recently at all. I believe there's a train that has some kind of power system allowing it to run eternally or close to eternally, and I think all human life may have ended by the time the story begins. All of the passengers aboard are long-since dead, but the train's intelligence system continues to attempt to make their travel comfortable. As the train runs its long loop of a route, there's one section of track from which it is able to interact with another robot or AI entity, and I believe that one is a weapons system. They become something like friends, I think, but I can't remember anything else about it

Is there a player on our roster who you think is poised to take a huge step forward? Or who has been overlooked but is about to have a big season? Or who no one is talking about but who we'll all be talking about by November?
Obviously, this is all guesswork and wish-casting, but could be fun to see others' ideas and rationales.
Feel free to share who you think might be a negative surprise if you like, too. Just, y'know, it's optimism season til reality starts to hit, so don't expect fans to love your negative takes.
[PK] The Achilles Timeline: Can Lloyd Cushenberry Be Ready for the Titans’ Opener?
paulkuharsky.com/news/the-achilles-timeline-c...Kuharsky: Will Levis has an AC sprain in his throwing shoulder. Wouldn’t necessarily play this week. Should be OK for Indy after bye but will still likely have some pain.
x.com/PaulKuharskyNFL/status/1841909438870962479This team is a complete work in progress. Messy all over the field, etc. And I don't normally get too worked up about it or think the answer is firing someone. [Though I did whine for Craig Aukerman to be fired for years before he put a hit on Stonehouse and finally forced the powers that be to get rid of him.]
But, Colt Anderson has been singly awful. Yet another punt blocked last night. And then he made it painfully clear that he didn't understand the kickoff rules when he threw his headset while his players got us the ball at the Dolphins 10 yard line [which is the only reason the team was able to break 30]. (I'll admit that I'm not super certain the players were all the way clear on
The vast majority of the native plant content on this sub and available generally that I've seen focuses on the eastern half of the US, which worked out fine for me before I left Tennessee [and which makes sense to me for a number of reasons]. But now, out in New Mexico, I'm looking for podcasts about plants of this area, and I'm coming up a bit short. I used to really enjoy Native Plants, Healthy Planet, but so much of it just isn't applicable to my new home. Wondering if anyone here has any recs. Thanks!
