I've been going back and forth about getting my MBA. It seems good on your resume, but is it really worth it? Those who have an MBA, have you noticed more job opportunities? Also, those classes look interesting, but I'm scared to take finance again. I barely passed that class during my undergrad; I can only imagine how hard it is at the graduate level.
So, I am having a December wedding. I booked my venue and caterer in February. March got way too busy for me (work and side gig), and I started to feel overwhelmed. Then, in April, I ended up hiring a wedding planner who had great reviews and looked official. I thought having a wedding planner would help take off the load, but since April to May, I feel like she hasn't done what I expected she would do. When she does, she's kind of slow. In June, I started to step in and make appointments with vendors, get contracts signed, and always make sure to cc my wedding planner to keep her in the loop. We would have bi-weekly meetings, but she has a pattern of postponing or canceling last minute. I d
I just started planning for my wedding, and I am already frustrated that most venues, bridal shops, and vendors are only available between 9 AM and 5 PM, despite knowing that the majority of their clients work during those hours. It would be helpful if they offered options on weekends or after 5 PM... I have to take time off work (which means losing money I could use to pay for the wedding) just to tour venues or try on dresses (don't get me started with the appointment fees). What a scam...
This is a rant, but I really dislike how much mail I receive that is 99% ads, with only a small portion being important and addressed to me. It's such a waste and terrible for our planet. Where and how can I unsubscribe from this mail?
I swear I once saw that Mason has a donation center for used clothes and home items, but I can't find it. I want to donate some clothes to Mason students rather than to the Salvation Army or Goodwill, as those are for-profit organizations (even though they claim they're not)
So, I have a total of six bridesmaids. Three are childhood friends that I hang out with often, and three are very close cousins whom I love dearly, almost like sisters. I originally planned to ask my best friend, whom I've known since pre-K, to be the Maid of Honor. However, she recently had a baby and is now busy adjusting to life as a new mom. I don't want to put any extra pressure on her since she's trying to manage so much right now.
My second option is my cousin, who loves to host and plan events. She would be ideal because I know she can make everything perfect, but we haven't hung out as much since our college days. I'm really confused about what to do. Should I pick a Maid of Honor,
i am searching for a beautiful venue in the area that can accommodate 150 to 200 guests
got an email about the Thanksgiving regional shuttles Mason offers. The pick-up/drop-off on campus seems really convenient, and $35 isn’t too bad. Just wondering if anyone’s used it before and how long the ride is to NYC?
