Bachelorette activities in Hanoi

Travel Experience/Du lịch

Xin chào các bạn,

I‘m a Viet Kiều and my fiancée and I are getting married in Hà Nội this October. I would like to plan some sort of „bachelorette“ day for my girlfriends and myself. I don’t want my friends to plan anything as they’re already coming all the way to Vietnam to celebrate our wedding.

I’m looking for a fun and/or relaxing activity that lasts for about 1-3 hours in the afternoon, so that we can grab dinner afterwards and maybe go to some nice bars (maybe the speakeasy-vibe kind of bars?). We’re about 10 people in total.

My ideas: some sort of workshop (jewelry, perfume, pottery, cooking, etc) or visiting a spa (but should be suitable for a group of 10).

I know the title alone makes me sound entitled but please hear me out:

We're from Europe and are getting married in Southeast Asia this winter. My parents are from that country but I (the bride) was born and raised in Europe. My whole family, except for my parents, lives in SEA which is why it is especially meaningful to me to get married there. I also see it as a once in a lifetime chance to introduce our friends from Europe to my family and our culture and to have them all together in one place.

I have a friend group from college. We've stayed quite close over the years although we all live in different cities/countries now. Last summer, I told them about our wedding plans and that we de

Went to the expo today (June 6). I did read lots of (negative) reviews on here beforehand, so my expectations were quite low - and that’s probably the key to having a good time.

I went with my partner and we had water, snacks, UV protection clothing and umbrella, sunscreen, sunglasses, cooling wipes and towels to be prepared for the hot and humid weather. Of course it was still unbearably hot, but that would be the case anywhere around this region if not inside a building/vehicle with A/C.

We booked the time of entry for 12pm and arrived there at around 1pm. There was no line at all and we could just walk in.

To avoid frustration by not getting any reservation or using the website (I a
