I recently became a Patreon to access the short rests and I obviously started to listen from the beginning for the added context.

I'm listening to the S01E60 episode short rest called Deadeye and they wonder about eating a bat's wing.

It made me wonder so I checked the date : May 5th 2019 😂

Some dark foreshadowing IRL

Hi all.

Spoilers for the candlekeep adventure so beware.

Here is the description of the curse

Those who hear the melody of the rhyme find it to be irresistibly catchy, and they hum it over and over again. Such individuals have become cursed.

The rhyme acts as a summoning ritual intended to restore Shemshime. When enough people join in the singing of the rhyme, or enough time passes while people are singing it, the ritual will be completed. As that occasion approaches, Shemshime’s power grows. Anyone who hears the cursed tune is in turn cursed to hum or sing it. They are then capable of transmitting it further.

Resisting the Rhyme The characters can will themselves not to sing the rhyme

The location of the final fight

REQUEST FOR HELP / FEEDBACK

Hey, I was wondering how to handle the fact that the place where Strahd is supposed to engage the party to the death is predetermined.

-What if the party pissed Strahd of before they can reach the place ? -What if they reach it and are really not ready for an endgame ? (Second one will probably : If they die, they die, they were warned)

Hi, Assuming Strahd isn't pissed off yet, the party is allowed on their first visit with the diner to explore all the castle but not the basement or catacombs of I recall correctly. Not sure if they are welcome to come back later and have the same freedom. The party will obviously at some point loot or steal stuff that might irritate Strahd and start attacking them, or just because they went to the catacombs.

How does your party can explore (and loot) all the castle without having Strahd being in endgame mode ? I assume he's saying on them anyway so if they go near the last three crypts he might not like it at all.

Ruling needed

Need Advice: Rules & Mechanics

Hi all, I was listening to an episode of CR and I heard something that made me wonder.

If a caster in their turn casts a spell that is counterspelled, would you allow them to counterspell the counterspell?

2 issues :

  • it's a reaction and typically it's not used in your own turn but I could go with it
  • you already casted a leveled spell so you can't cast another on your turn (only a cantrip)

Both RAW, RAI and houserules feedback welcomed.

Just feeling what should be accepted, what is a'd what isn't.

Thank you !

Hi,

I'm preparing my next campaign ahead and the content grows fast. I already noticed that coming back to some complex scenes, some lights disappeared... My top level folders are locations /regions so there are not a lot but inside of them I add content (exemple : I crated a city where I added 2 of the Golden Keys adventures and now I'm doing kind of the same for Candlekeep, which means I'll have quite a lot of prepared adventure ready to go).

All the specific data for this world is in a specific folder on my hard drive (not in the world folder btw)

  • Is there good practices regarding on how to handle content (in foundry itself) to avoid the volume to be an issue ?
  • Am i supposed to cr

Hi

I'm preparing Vidorant's vault (from the Keys of the golden vault) for my next campaign and I'll do this as a Foundry module that I'll share for free here.

I just wanted some feedback on each versions of the maps I created.

It's obvious I'm a beginner in creating maps on these tools, I just didn't want to use the ones in the official coutent since they are quite plain most of the time.

I'm going to use the ones created with Dungeon's Alchemist I think since they are much more beautiful. However since I don't think we can do anything to have diagonal walls in it, I'm still opened to change.
