i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s because of the lack of nutrition due to the appetite suppression of my vyvanse. but, i still try to force myself to eat, but it’s not enough. and then, of course, my lack of water intake. i’m doing everything wrong!

i feel so out of it and i’m not taking any information in my brain, just mindlessly writing things down. it sucks feeling out of control with this. i also didn’t get enough sleep last night, so i wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what’s affecting me as well.

it’s frustrating though because the pressure is high and i need to catch up! i can’t waste another day dozing around. it’s so hard to manage my body and my life. 🥲 and i absorb things so slowly

hello!

i currently attend school in chicago, but i come down to evanston a lot as it's my hometown + starting research at NU. besides the libraries, are there other places i can sit and do some work? i heard about the new building that opened on sheridan road (2001 sheridan rd, i think?), i saw a lot of nice table areas. would it be ok for me to go in and find a study spot?

also heard the autumn quarter started for y'all, wishing the best!

We're currently going over IR and NMR. Our professors use a flipped classroom model, so we teach ourselves the material and go into class for clickers. I'm struggling to orient myself to IR and NMR, and a bit of mass spec (but we won't be going over that in depth). We have problem sets, but I don't feel good about completing them. I feel like I'm constantly forgetting important pieces of information because there's so much content to cover in these topics. I find myself waiting for that moment when my brain clicks and I get the hang of the fundamentals of IR/NMR, but it's not happening.

My focus is also crappy, which makes things worse. I've been looking for someone to talk to about what I'

I'm currently working on a 9-page problem set. It consists of multiple resonance questions, drawing bond-line structures, determining hybridization, and identifying functional groups. I've gotten through 6 of 13 questions in the resonance section (I'm on page 3), and it's only been 3 hours. I feel like I'm taking too long getting through these questions. I worry that I won't have time to keep up with the other topics I need to learn (I'm currently behind by a couple of chapters already, that's definitely my mistake).

But I wonder, maybe this is normal? People say practice problems are the best way to learn. I just always assumed I should be chugging out multiple practice problems and paging

My current line-up:

  • Design Essentials Rosemary & Mint Stimulating Super Moisturizing Shampoo
  • Design Essentials Rosemary & Mint Stimulating Super Moisturizing Conditioner
  • Design Essentials Bamboo & Silk HCO Leave-In Conditioner
  • amika Brooklyn Bombshell Blowout Spray (before blow-dry)
  • I wrap and use a silk bonnet.

I've switched out multiple products, but the leave-in. This could also be because I don't straighten most of the time, only blow-dry.

Since she was 12 years old, my older sister has been having generalized seizure episodes (tonic-clonic). A little bit before she got diagnosed, she mentioned seeing visions. She's 30 now.

Throughout the day, she will have episodes where she inhales sharply (it almost sounds like she's snorting), stares off, and tenses up. Sometimes she shakes more vigorously, and her mouth twitches. These episodes can last up to 10 seconds. She wets herself most of the time when this happens. I dunno, it looks like she's fighting through something when this happens. Sometimes, she goes into a generalized seizure episode after the first few seconds of twitching. I've never seen her go into a generalized sei

I left my session feeling very invalidated and upset.

I feel like I'm neglecting a lot of my origin wounds (that can be very insightful into why I react the way I do) with this approach. I'm not sure exactly what approach she's using. When I try to focus only on the present, there's that part of me that gets pissed off that I'm not listening to it or paying attention to it. She's really big on reframing negative thoughts and wanting me to realize all the things that I have right now that make me feel good, but that's the problem...I don't feel good. I feel like I'm triggered all the time. I know why, but I also don't.

I feel like she's attempting to fix me, and not necessarily listen or u
