So running CoS as a newer player and now first time DM. Don’t worry I have invested many many hours and am semi competent given the complexity of the module and the supplemental material.

The problem: My PC Paladin (only experienced player and LG) died, at level 3, during the Night Hag battle cuz he sensed they were fiends and went all hero mode. A lightening based dark power brought him back to life with a lightening bolt on his neck and he gets 1 Lightening Bolt spell per long rest.

He used it twice at level 4; First, at Felix Demon as it was low health trying to escape out the window. Second, used it on a vampire spawn to low it done running with the bones.
