Is the Medal of Honor ribbon ever worn alone, or is it only worn with the full sized dress medal as well?
What would be the proper weight fluid for the front wheel hubs on a 2019 Freightliner Cascadia?
Started running in April, quickly realized I needed to get some sort of fuel card that offered discounts. Took a while to lock down what I wanted, used it last week and got my first invoice today. Saved a little over $400. Small victory in the grand scheme of things, but I'll take it
Looking for suggestions of good options/companies that you guys use. Any input/experience is appreciated.
I have a 2019 Cascadia DD15 10 speed w/156,000 miles on it, pretty well maintained, Ive seen the maintenance history. Im running flatbed hauling decorative stone/pavers or lumber loads mostly in Mass or upstate NY through the Berkshires along I90 and also through Rhode Island and eastern Mass. Ive generally been getting high 5s or low 6s for mpg. Im seeing plenty of posts drivers claiming as much as 9mpg. Ive been driving a good amount of years and know how to shift. Any ideas what I can do to boost mpg or am I in a "it is what it is" type situation because of the motor/geography/weight combo?
Anyone here use Greenlane for discount fuel prices? Good or bad experiemce?
Anyone here use Great West Insurance? Opinions on their service/coverage?
After 22yrs as a company driver, decided to buy my own truck and go out on my own. Meh, to the timing of my decision with fuel costs but at least Im not gonna have some corporate safety asshole up my pipe about a driver facing camera and no more lane departure alerts/brake stabs from highway signs by the stupid radar.
Anybody here run with Old Dominion in Ct or the Northeast? Wondering @ earning potential. I left LTL @9yrs ago and jumped over to grocery hauling so Im not up on the pay rates.
Question for Owner/Ops with their own authority, how much does it cost to register for IFTA and NY HUT permits for those that run that area? I'm in Ct.
I am a company driver w/21 yrs in the industry (not with the same company) and am considering buying my own tractor and running under another company's authority. They want to see proof of vehicle ownership before they allow me to view the employment contract. I have a friend who runs under their authority on another account and he said he didn't view contract before he bought a vehicle. It seems a bit of a risky gamble to me. Do I not have a choice in this matter? Is this an industry standard? Any info would help. Thanks.
