Looks like we are heading through another dry streak heading into October. Are you still watering your established berries that are well past giving fruit at this point? In my case the blueberries are already dropping leaves, some of the newer canes on the raspberries are green and seem happy enough.

From The Repository:

The WPOCC’s first-of-its-kind survey of 431 WordPress community members surfaces deep frustration with governance and a stubborn refusal to walk away.

Governance and leadership is the problem respondents report most, with 73.3% having experienced or witnessed problems with project leadership or governance — the highest of any issue the survey measured. Transparency, accountability, and a new governance model came up repeatedly across the open-ended responses.

The survey also found broad agreement on what the community values most. Respondents overwhelmingly rated four things as important: security, web standards, open source values, and the Word

Some quotes from Matt in the thread:

Actually, this is permanently delayed. The [accessibility] team has overstepped its authority, usefulness, and charter.

Going forward, any other team or committer can override suggestions or requests from current accessibility team members.

it’s just PHP code. Go find it and change it, or let me know what’s blocking you.

I would like to create an Accessibility canonical plugin (that dude is losing that slug, and shame on the team for not reserving it before [plugin dev] got it) that makes your WordPress experience as joyful as possible.

In the summer of 2020, my husband, Ryan, and I bought a house in Portland, Ore., with a sizable backyard containing little more than a decrepit lawn. For many prospective homeowners, a crisped rectangle of grass on the verge of death would probably not be a selling point. We found it irresistible: an ideal canvas for our dream garden. That fall, we hired a contractor to rip out what remained of the lawn and got to work.

I see a lot of references to every other day online, but I'm wondering what folks are doing in Portland and our summer weather that seems to be already on the hotter side of things.

I have been hand watering daily, sometimes twice a day as I was getting things established (peas, peppers, tomatoes, flowers) in May, and now I'm trying out giving the top layer a rest to encourage deeper root growth. We have used drip systems in the past and ran them twice a day, now I'm wondering if we were making the top layers too soggy. What's your approach?

A critical vulnerability was recently identified in the cPanel software regarding an authentication login exploit. This affects all currently supported versions of cPanel.

Workaround

Currently, we are actively building a patch for all supported versions of cPanel/WHM to address this and ensure the integrity of the cPanel product.

In the meantime, using a firewall to block access to TCP ports 2083/2087 will prevent unauthorized access, but would also restrict all other access to the control panel as well. This is currently the best option to secure your servers until the patch is ready.

Whenever I search an address on google.com, then click the street view image inside of the embedded map that is part of the results, I inevitably land at the right location, but facing the wrong direction. Anybody else running into street view facing backwards on a consistent basis?
