It has been brought to my attention that Braaap has gone into liquidation. I'm guessing this means that our lifetime warranty is now null & void. I'm hoping parts will still be available, but as a relatively new rider, I'm not familiar with getting aftermarket parts.

I have an ST 250 Shadow Cafe Racer that's just hit 10k, and I've never really had any issues with it

Monday night my 15 year old, rescue (part either Russian or British Blue) let out a horrible yowl.

I went into my room and it appeared he was having a seizure of some sorts. I grabbed him and took him into the kitchen (better light) where he gave another couple of yowls then began Cheyne-Stoking (ex palliative care nurse)

I knew there was nothing to be done, so I took him outside in the balcony and held him til he passed. During that time he had blood stained froth from the mouth and nose.

It was only 30 minutes between the initial yowl to his death

Does anyone have any idea what may have happened?

He was in good health, no medications, was eating, drinking, peeing, pooping and purring

I had a butane gas blow torch (the small hand held kind) explode in my face last week, resulting in the activation of the sprinkler

I have now been informed by the insurance assessor that I need to vacate the apartment for 6-7 weeks in order to do repairs

Am I still liable for rent during this time?

Please do not buy a Tradeflame Pro Heat Blow Torch Kit (item number 0361871) from Bunnings (or anywhere else)

I had one explode in my face last night, setting off the sprinkler in my apartment causing ankle deep flooding throughout

On reading the reviews on Bunnings own website, they knew there was an issue with this product 4 MONTHS AGO, yet it was never recalled and remains available

And if the same thing has happened to anyone else, please report it to Bunnings!

Gotta admit, their customer service dude I spoke to was fantastic! At least they got something right

Had an issue last night with an exploding butane blow torch. It exploded in my face and set off the sprinklers in my (rented) apartment, effectively flooding my entire place with ankle deep water.

When I called the property manager to tell them what happened, I was expecting a not so nice reception.

All 3 people I spoke to at Jellis Craig were more concerned about my wellbeing than anything else

So, there are good agents out there, and Jellis Craig in Brunswick are awesome!!

Was on crowded PT yesterday, when a group of 3 Asian gentlemen got on.

There was a seat vacant next to me and one of the guys asked for consent before sitting next to me!

He was looking at maps on his phone, obviously tourists, so I asked where they were going and made sure they got off at the right stop

I thanked the man for asking for consent to sit, and told him his mother would be proud. The 3 of them then bowed to me before getting off the tram

What a pleasant change!!
