As it says in the title. For a few months, I've been receiving notices that my battery is deteriorating, and I'm wondering if it's safe to hold out on this laptop for another year or so or if I should get a new laptop to be safe. I don't know how long they usually last on average after that notification and I would hate to have it randomly brick one day. If anyone else has received this notice before, please let me know what you did and what worked for you. Thank you!

I'm (26F, 27 in October) set to have an arthrogram/MRI next week to determine the state of my hip dysplasia and labrum tear, and I know I should likely wait for the doc's opinions before worrying too much. But just in case it's an option, does anyone have any insight with PAO vs THR surgery in treating hip dysplasia?
I have been slacking on my PT because my living space is very crowded and my physical therapist hasn't been able to get me in since our one session in April, though I really should start doing it again in general.
But overall, I'm just curious to know if anyone has any insight on PAO vs THR for a long-term outlook. I just keep losing sleep worrying back and forth and feeling l
paused/skipped my plus for this month because there's only four color options once again, i guess id forgotten (haha) that the supergirl event also had a limited selection. i can't recall if devs officially said that collabs will only have 4 colors or not.
also sidenote, i do wish raissa's jacket and pants were separate items but oh well..
i was trying to see if there's a monthly wrap-up option like there is on storygraph; if that is an option, where is it located? and if it's not an option, could it ever be implemented in the future?
there's no reason that a change THIS massive wouldn't have an announcement. even stuff like the addition of wigs should have had an announcement. i cannot stress enough that keeping information just told across various social media is a really bad idea. users who are not on finch socials should still be told what is new. if it can be done for new events, it can be done for additions and updates.
For multiple months now (at the very least since April, possibly longer), I have had persistent pain in my right ear only when something touches the area. I have seen ENTs, urgent care, primary care, no one can figure out what's happening.
The area that hurts is the area right above my auditory canal (I believe external auditory meatus), on the side opposite my tragus. My ear immediately starts ringing when something brushes or presses against it, which goes away as soon as the pressure is gone. I have been unable to wear earbuds, in-ear hearing protection, or earplugs as a result.
The only lead is possibly TMJ, however I'm worried it might be a blocked or clogged pore, due to the stiffn
26F, my doctors have been very hard to get back in contact with. I had one appointment of PT in April, and then haven't been able to contact them since as well. After X-Rays, I was diagnosed with mild hip dysplasia in my right hip, potential limb height difference, and a potential labral tear (need the MRI to confirm.)
I suppose part of me is still in denial because I haven't gotten the MRI yet to see how severe it is, so I don't know what the steps that would be best for me are yet. I'm still trying my best to do PT at home in the meantime, and have debated getting a cane (but I would be worried about causing further damage using it incorrectly), but I guess at the end of it all, I'm wonde
right now, i have been eyeing both the lenovo yoga pro 9i and macbook pro m4, but i am open to any suggestions. i am looking to keep my budget at 2k max (i am looking at refurbished laptops.) most important factors are:
- fan noise (my current laptop have very loud and high pitched fans)
- ports (prefer to have full size sd card slot and usb-a)
- gaming ability (specifically, guild wars 2)
battery life is a plus, but im fine with running things plugged in. thank you!
so far i'm really loving this app, especially the desktop version! my only problem is that whenever i update my progress, it doesn't actually register on my monthly stats or calendar. i'm a tiny bit confused on how journal entries work, and i think my data is slightly bugged from being transferred from storygraph because my page count and dates read aren't accurate. does anyone have any advice?
personally, id love to see finch expand on stretches - especially pertaining to hands! a lot of people (myself included) don't get in nearly enough wrist stretching, and id love to see some in app! additionally, id REALLY love to see a toothbrush timer or animation.
i think having specific activities for each self care area (finch created) could be a neat wayyyyy in the future implementation, like the toothbrush animation/timer for hygiene, various stretches for movement, etc!
within the past week, ive seen so many people feeling like they got the rug pulled from under them with finch just randomly getting rid of helpful features. just off the top of my head, i can think of: guided areas, long term special quests (which has gone on for YEARS with no indication it wasn't permanent,) egg hatching with buddies, the treehouse being a mini village with houses, and i know there's way more that i can't think of off the top of my head. it's really frustrating not knowing if a feature that's helpful will just be gone on a whim the next morning because it wasn't advertised as a test. it feels like everyone has a different version of the app at all times, i really wish that
to be clear, i'm meaning the new frames that go around your profile bio. as it stands, they are all static, unavailable to wishlist, and only purchasable with actual money. i imaging that the wishlist and ability to buy with orbs will likely happen over time as the newness fades, but im really curious if you think they'll remain static or if you think they'll have animations. it would be a shame if they stayed static; if they can do profile icon borders that are animated, i don't see why they wouldn't be able to do that for frames just as easy.
i got my flip 5 refurbished back in february and it's been a delight so far! my only concern is the fact that i've got a few scratches in the inside screen, and while they're not causing me much issues, it sometimes catches and makes me click other things i don't mean to. i've heard it's a bit risky to put on a screen protector for these models so i'm apprehensive for this reason, but do you recommend it? and if you do, do you have any suggestions? thank you!
as listed in the title, do you have office chair suggestions that minimize pain from hip dysplasia? i got an executive chair earlier this year from staples (specifically this one) because i wanted a chair where i could lean back, but with my diagnosis a few months ago, im realizing i might be hurting myself more.
do you have any suggestions for a future better chair, and/or any suggestions on how i can make this one better for me in the meantime (with cushions or similar?) thank you!
