The end of the year is upon us, and I’m curious what brands folks discovered for themselves in 2024. It doesn’t have to be a new brand—just new for you!
Mine would be Kartik Research. Love the creativity and fabrics used in their knitwear.
I know the Nike Gray tag, but I can’t find this particular tag online, which makes me think it’s a bootleg. What do you think?
I was listening to Tha Carter 2 today and I realized I couldn’t think of another example of a rapper taking a beat and doing three separate songs on it to frame an album. I have to guess someone else has done it though…
Either I’m losing my mind or weeds will soon take over my entire base. Has anyone figured out how to get rid of weeds?
Pretty psyched about this find, but Im flummoxed by the following:
-
It’s made in China. I know it’s possible to have items from the early 2000s that are made in china, but that’s never a great sign.
-
The print is super weird and doesn’t actually feature any real life Lakers or NBA players. Number 15 is not the number of a Lakers legend—Austin Reaves is currently wearing it. So I guess it’s generic basketball players with LA slapped on?
-
It’s single stitch, which makes me think it is an older item.
Cool either way.
One of my favorite songs of all time and it’s not on Spotify for my wedding playlist. Just wanted to be sad here, thanks.
I don’t watch much college football and I’m finding a lot of different OL going 13th to the Jets in the various mock drafts out there. Who is your favorite?
- I had a hard time getting past the first scene with the 9-fingered girl. The narrator explains away why the girl was naked—she took her own clothes off I guess—but why the fuck is HE naked? He “saves” this girl, puts her to bed, wants to stay with her so she doesn’t die of alcohol poisoning, but also gets naked to sleep with another non-consenting sleeping stranger?
I couldn’t fathom the girl not asking the question, why were you naked then????

The DJ radio station parts felt pretty non-sequitor. It reminded me of the way the DJ in the movie The Warriors interrupts throughout the movie, but at least in that case the station is commenting on the action.

Maybe I need a day to dige
