Looking for a better solution for carpeted stair treads and upholstery (couches). I have a pet that sheds short hair.
I have a Hoover WindTunnel Tangle Guard (UH77110) upright. The included turbo brush is trash. Even after disassembly and cleaning it barely rotates so I need a replacement for that.
Is there better turbo brush that I could use with this vacuum or would I be better off getting a handheld such as Shark UltraCyclone Pet Pro Plus, Bissell Pet Hair Eraser, or Black&Decker furbuster?
The Guard L1 and M1 (both are Cat & Dog) are priced almost identically on Amazon. I’m trying to decide if the L1's "premium" features offer a real-world advantage for my specific home.
The House:
- Size: 2,000 sq/ft.
- Flooring: Primarily hard floors (LVP/Tile/Wood), several low-pile area rugs, and one Oriental rug. No wall to wall carpet.
- Pet: One smooth-coat Jack Russell (short, needle-like hair).
My Specific Questions:
- Bag Size (3.5L vs 4.5L): Does the M1’s larger capacity make a noticeable difference in bag-change frequency for a 2,000 sq/ft home with a shedding dog?
- Casters: The L1 has 4 "DynamicDrive" soft wheels vs. the M1’s 3 standard hard whee
I currently have an older iPad on a T-Mobile Magenta plan. I want to upgrade to a newer iPad and take advantage of the A16 $99 promo.
I only want to have a data plan on a single iPad. To get this deal do I need to cancel my current data plan and wait 90 days or can i buy the new iPad and then cancel the data plan on the old iPad?
Myself and my spouse have court appointed guardianship for my adult son who has been declared incompetent. My son receives SSI and my spouse is the representative payee. Since my son receives SSI he also receives Medicaid.
My understanding is that both myself and my spouse should be able to interact with the insurance company on his behalf as he is not able to do this himself. This has been a challenge and I have not received clear direction on how I can inform his Medicaid provider, Wellpoint, that we have guardianship. Wellpoint advised that we need to notify the local Medicaid office (NJFamilyCare), who sent us the county office, who then told us we need to go to Social Security.

I'm considering an E340 floodlight and would want to use the continuous recording feature. I'm concerned about wifi jamming or if something else causes the HB 3 to become unavailable. Will the E340 use local storage for continuous recording if the HB is not available? I've seen mixed answers from some older posts. I'm wondering if anyone has tested this.
I recently bought a Genie 7155 garage opener that has built in wifi as well as an iPhone app, Aladdin Connect. I noticed this app is not available on CarPlay, anyone know why that is? What is the best way to integrate my opener with CarPlay?
Whenever I swap a 12V on an ICE vehicles I use an OBDII 12V Memory Saver to prevent losing radio presets, engine idle setting, etc. Will EV6 benefit from using an OBDII 12V Memory Saver when swapping the 12V battery?
I'm looking to apply for insurance on GetCoveredNJ. One of my dependents is a minor and it tells me that:
Based on your income and location, your child may be able to get insurance at a lower cost -- or even free -- through the Children's Health Insurance Program, more commonly known as CHIP.
I have a couple of questions about CHIP. Will GetCoveredNJ force me to put my child on CHIP instead of the health plan the rest of my family would be on? How long does it take to get approved for CHIP, I would want coverage to being on Jan 1.
I read on other threads that the physician search on the GetCoveredNJ isn't accurate. I tried looking on the Horizon BCBS physician search but I didn't see OMNIA Silver Value B plan listed. Does the OMNIA Sliver Value B plan from GetCoveredNJ align with any of the OMNIA plans at the Horizon BCBS physician search? My provider shows up on all the plans at the Horizon BCBS site but does not show up on GetCoveredNJ search for Horizon. I'd be really surprised if the list of doctors for the GetCoveredNJ OMNIA plan is different than the OMNIA plans offered at Horizon's website.
I did try talking to someone from Horizon but he didn't know the answer :(.
My adult child is disabled and needs a non-driver ID card to open an ABLE Account.
I'm confused by the two options for getting one as described here https://www.nj.gov/mvc/license/nondriverid.htm
I'm familiar with the $24 option that requires the 6 points of ID and is done in person with a picture taken.
The second option is a one time $6 option with no renewal fee. There is a link to a paper application that requests some basic information as well as a section for a doctor to certify. It then looks like it needs to be mailed in. Am I understanding correctly that with that option there is no need to go to MVC, no picture taken, no 6 points
My car is coming up on 2 years of ownership. It has less than 10k miles. Are 12v failures related to age or mileage? AGM from Walmart seems like cheap insurance.
I am representative payee for my disabled adult son. He has $1300 in savings bonds which we let Social Security know about when we applied for benefits and he was approved. Since total assets allowed is $2000 will he get cutoff immediately if the rep payee checking account exceeds $700? Essentially he would be over the limit as soon as he gets paid. Do they somehow know he is over $2,000 or do they occasionally ask for this information? I know the easy thing to do is to cash the bonds but they will hit full face value in a couple of years so I'd rather wait for that.
My adult son was recently approved for SSI. I went through the representative payee application over the phone with a rep from Social Security. They sent me a copy of the application in the mail. A couple days later I received his back pay check. The check is payable to my name for his name. I have not yet received the letter stating that I was approved as his representative payee and my bank won't let me open an account without that letter. Should I expect to receive the approval letter soon or should I contact the local SS office to see what is going on?
Also is there documentation online from Social Security for how quickly the back pay needs to be spent? The back pay check is greater t
