Trying to migrate user data from a 2015 Fire 7 to a 2018 Fire 8. I used the built in backup / restore but it only copied wallpapers and other peripheral stuff. I want to copy app data but haven’t had any luck with Carbon or adb backup / adb restore. Devices aren’t rooted - is there any hope?

The weeks long fatigue of seeing this same image is really setting in.
