Hello fellow XC40 users,

We're in the market looking for a used XC40 possibly around 2020 models and probably Momentum or Momentum Pro most likely with 6 speed manual gearbox. In the UK manual gearbox is still holding well and we're so used to driving such cars, there is no need for an auto and hence keep the price lower.

However, there are a few things my missus wants to have on the car. It's not a total dealbreaker but she's really willing to get a heated windscreen. I know it's not much needed here but there she is.. I think adaptive cruise control comes with all models, powered driver seat would be nice for her (I don't care), speed limit warning and sign recognition can be nice as s

Hello everyone, we’re going to visit Japan finally for the first time and I’d like to do a few things for sure.

Firstly I’m looking to buy a small laptop to use occasionally on work trips. I do like Panasonic let’s note series. Better to be a used model.

Then looking for a pair of black selvedge jeans. Don’t have to be on hand made indigo momotaro jeans. Just something alright. I’ll also visit Filson store and see what different models they have got.

Lastly is there anywhere specifically I can rent kei cars? Like Honda S660 or N Box or Suzuki Every Wagon etc. I’ve already got a kei Suzuki alto and a Daihatsu Copen at home and want to upgrade my alto to something else. I’ll also attend

Hello everyone,

I had a 2005 Daihatsu hijet 4wd last year and then sold it without thinking much when a surprise offer popped up.

Then today someone nearby listed a Carry DA16T, however it’s not a manual but 3 speed automatic. I was looking forward to import one for myself at some point but having the chance of buying something already here is tempting too.

So, how good or bad is this gearbox? I’ve been always looking at the manuals until now.

Hello XC40 owners,

My partner and I are thinking about upgrading from our Suzuki Ignis. I’m quite happy with it, but she’d prefer something a bit bigger and more comfortable this time.

We stopped by a Volvo dealer today as I’ve always liked the brand and the design of the XC40. That said, I’ve never owned a Volvo before, and the last one I drove was an S80 nearly 20 years ago.

We’re based in the UK and aren’t looking to buy brand new. Our budget seems to put us mostly in the 2018–2022 range. I’m also leaning towards the 6-speed manual versions rather than automatics.

For example, I’ve found a 2019 Volvo XC40 1.5 T3 Momentum Pro nearby that looks interesting.

A few questions for owners:

TL;DR:
Went to Magistrates’ Court for driving without insurance (IN10).
Pleaded guilty and explained it was a genuine mistake with “Driving Other Cars” cover on a car I had bought less than 24 hours earlier.

Magistrates discussed the New Driver rules because 6 points would revoke my licence.
After deliberation they gave me a 2-week driving ban and about £800 fine instead of penalty points.
The hearing itself took about 20–25 minutes.

After almost a year of stress and waiting, the hearing day finally arrived. In the meantime
