moved from Canada a couple months ago. I still have functioning Canadian credit cards and great credit there but need a credit card with local billing address for obvious reasons. My employer shifted my presence from Canada to US so my income is now in local USD.

After arriving in the US I went to a national bank and opened an account, and insisted they should look at my Canadian credit history to get approval for a credit through them. Rejected outright, the reason code was basically "not enough info" despite my years of activity in Canada. They did offer a secured credit card but I decided to look around because, at least at the time, I was still in the process of wiring my own money from

Just purchased the acacia Kana bed + headboard. Assembling has been a breeze, we’ve abandoned the headboard and are just using the spare legs for now, so the bed frame itself is great.

One of the headboard legs simply does not accept the two back boards. I malleted and shoved and pulled together as much as possible without injuring myself, but only one board partially slides in, the other doesn’t even fit

Anyone else had this experience?

I'm currently not in Princeton so can't look for myself, but Avalon on Harrison is currently one of my top picks based on location and new-ness of construction

But it's been years since I've actually lived in an apartment, so I have all sorts of doubts. What's the quality of construction like, how is the building for tenants currently, how thin are the walls? any other concerns?

Also one unit I like is next to the stairwell, is getting an apartment next to a stairwell a bad idea for noise?

It seems like such an obvious feature of a Floyd Rose or an Edge or any floating bridge, that you should just be able to flick a switch on your guitar, or even just turn a knob, and lock the bridge in place when you don't want any slack.

I shouldn't have to unscrew the back and put a block in place.

I see that some third party manufacturers make things but they are not popular or well known.

Is there some technical problem that's prevented "easy lock" from being standard across all floating bridge guitars?

Hi there, we are moving to the Princeton/surrounding area in the summer, and I'm trying to budget out the next year where we are likely going to be in an apartment.

I'm assuming everything within a 30 minute drive of the university has similar utilities costs, but please let me know if that's wrong.

Can people share what they're paying for the typical utilities per month?

  • natural gas (or whatever is typical for cooking + heating in the area)
  • electric
  • water
  • sewage
  • internet (cable tv too if you pay for it)

This would be a big help to get a bunch of input so I can make solid estimates, thanks

We are coming down from Canada for a short daytrip in NYC and then driving elsewhere, staying somewhere overnight before entering NYC.

I figure we should park somewhere in NJ, sleep in NJ, and take a train in, but I've never done this before so would like recommendations.

Looks like Newark Penn Station is the only train stop farthest out from NYC so we can avoid attempting to drive through traffic. Is that a good place to find a hotel and park for 1.5 days?

My PC has easily run the game at decent settings at 240fps for 4 years now, so it's not a hardware issue.

The moment I updated the game a few days ago, every 5-10 seconds I'm seeing complete screen freezes/hitches that last up to half a second, seems a lot more common when there are other players active around me...

It actually seems to be at it's worst when other players are near me, like jumping out of the bus, being near them on the map, mid-fight obviously.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Just bought the 2026 Honda Passport Trailsport Touring, which comes with 275/60R18 Grabber tires.

Amazingly, the vehicle is pretty quiet even on the highway but gas mileage is ass.

Is it worth investing in regular tires to get better mileage over the next few years?

I'm definitely not taking this thing offroading any time soon, all I care about is quiet and using less gas.

Unfortunately I'm getting back into vinyl and I'd rather not have to baby the flipping of a record. I just want to be hands off as long as possible and good sound quality.

I know Sony and others made CD-style boxes in the 80s with 1 stylus for each side. Did all companies just stop manufacturing these machines? Is there anything made in the last 5-10 years?
