What if it starts being found out how bad social media is for people’s mental and general health? Is social media going to be the next addiction that will be hugely campaigned against by health agencies? It will be like the quit smoking campaign in the 90’s. Is this possible? Did the people smoking during the peak think it would be possible?
I rarely use DD and have never used it to deliver an order from a store. I bought a HomePod for $300 at Best Buy and am having it delivered. The DD app suggested a lot less but I bumped it up to a $23 tip. Is that low, average, or high?
If this question is not allowed I apologize and will delete it. Thanks!
I don’t have much experience with the feature but did Tesla change the way they detect if the driver is paying attention? I test drove a 2020 Model Y and it made you wiggle the wheel every once-in-a-while to make sure you were being attentive. I ordered a new MYP (deliver next week) and I’ve seen videos of the new Tesla that uses a camera to actually detect if your eyes are looking at the road. In some of these videos I am not sure if that was for autopilot or FSD. Can someone with a newer Tesla help clarify?
Some of the videos I’ve watched show that you will be blocked for a week if using FSD (not sure about the same for autopilot) if you don’t pay attention a certain amount of times.
Has anyone tried to remove the clear protective film that comes on a lot of the newer (2018-2021) 200 series LC’s? If so, is it difficult to remove and has it been known to actually cause any damage removing it?
I’m looking to buy an LC in the year range and a lot of the ones I have looked at have it already installed.
A friend of mine tried to create a CreditKarma account today and it turns out that his landlord created an account for him using their email address and are monitoring his credit. Is this allowed or even legal?
He didn't even know he had an account and of course doesn't have a password because they created it.
I have 5 rental houses and have never even thought of monitoring my tenants credits.
EDIT/FOLLOW-UP: Thanks everyone for your unanimous feedback on this. He talked to the landlord and they gave him the password so he could take control of the account. Even though there is no excuse for what they did he's giving them the benefit of doubt because english is their second language
I have a prospective tenant who is dragging his feet on telling us when he is going to move in. He has signed the rental lease and given us a check for the deposit but he left the 'move in' date in the lease empty. At this point I want put the house up for rent again and reject the lease (and return the deposit). Can I do this?
I live in South Carolina and we have already deposited his deposit check. I know I messed up depositing his check and it is definitely a lesson learned.
I'm trying to help a friend buy a house so he can fix it up and sell it to keep most of the profits. Not a great investment for me necessarily but it would help him out a lot.
My options: act as the bank and finance the house (private mortgage), purchase the property in an LLC and transfer ownership (with tax consequences) to him when the house is sold, include my friend in the LLC and buy the house in the LLCs name. Any other options?
Here's the scenario: A very good friend of mine wants to buy a house costing 30k (foreclosure, needs a lot of work). The problem is he doesn't have the money or the ability to get a loan but is a contractor who can get the house back into shape in orde
Purchased this 1921 Mercury dime for $35. It was marked $45 but he gave me a discount. It's not in good shape but from what I could quickly lookup before the purchase it seems to be a good year.
I'm trying to decide whether I should worry about incorporating (C Corp) at the phase I'm currently in.
I'm in the process of creating a minimum value product (MVP) and will need to pay a company (probably within two months) to do web development and possibly a proof of concept iPhone app. I will also need to buy equipment at a cost of less than $1500. Is this a good enough reason to incorporate or should I just pay for it myself?
Additional factors for consideration:
- I'm the only founder at this point
- No need to limit liability at this stage
- I won't be approaching a VC for funding until after the MVP is complete
- The up front cost of incorporating is not an issue
