Had the TPMS light start flashing on my 2014 recently. It cleared itself the first time but came back a few days later. Took it to Discount Tire to test and each sensor scanned fine with their tool. I had them do,a reset which cleared the light for now. Anyone seen that before? I would have expected one of the sensors to be dead if the car was showing the fault flash.

I bought a Garmin Edge 530 off Amazon a few months ago (in the US). I noticed when looking at maps it shows just white space where I am. Turns out it came preloaded with Europe maps. I tried deleting/updating the maps using Garmin Express but it refuses to let me change the map region off of Europe. How do I get North American maps downloaded?
Got some 45mm tires for the OEM rims that came on my topstone 2. I think they are 23mm internal width? Anyway, they were not hard at all to physically get on but they don’t seem to be tight enough to hold air to seat the bead. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I installed 32mm gp5000s on my other rims tubeless and just tried the same method. Those tires were damn tight and nearly impossible to fit on, but once they did they held air instantly without any sealant.
Any ideas?
Got a topstone 2 recently that came with 37mm WTB Riddlers (tubes). They are fine on hard pack but I when I hit loose rock gravel it feels like there is zero traction. Max clearance is 45mm. Would it be worth upgrading to a tubeless 45mm tire of different type?
Should my stroke with/without a snorkel be identical except for my head turning to breath without? I feel very unbalanced when turning to breath. Feels like I either don’t rotate enough (feels closest to snorkel stroke) or I rotate too much and feel out of control. Any recommended drills to help this? Maybe single arm drill?
I have been doing mostly self taught freestyle for the past 2 months. I can do a 6-1-6 or even 6-3-6 drill just ok, but once I started doing full freestyle my balance goes out of whack when I add the arms into the equation. I end up over rotating or lifting my head up, etc…
I can stay in swordfish position all day and turn my head to breath when needed. It’s like when I add the constant rotation in with arms my position breaks down. Any ideas to help with balance and rotation?
Got all the parts in for my road wheel setup for my gravel bike: carbon wheels, tires, brake discs, cassette, tubeless sealant, etc...
Is there a specific or preferred order to install everything? Original though was:
-
Brake Discs
-
cassette
-
Tires
Wasn't sure if there were any dependencies I'm overlooking or just making things easier by going in a different order.
Will try to keep this short and not a narrative. Started self learning freestyle about 6 weeks ago using total immersion and two lessons from an instructor. My stroke is decent now but I can’t breathe and do full strokes. Too much to think about. I can do breathing drills with a kickboard fine….just struggling to put it all together.
I’m not sure if I need to start using a snorkel to make my stroke “muscle memory” so that I can focus on breathing, or make the breathing “muscle memory” first with more progressive drills.
Recently just bought a Topstone 2 GRX. I thought I’d be doing 50/50 road/gravel rides but it’s really more 75/25 road/gravel. I’m thinking about picking up an extra carbon wheelset with all components and road tires to make wheel swapping easy. Looking at elite wheels SLR 2.0 carbon wheels and GP5000 tires. For brake rotors and rear cassette, should I go with the same gravel specific models the bike came with or are there more road optimized versions?
Just bought a new Topstone 2 GRX from my LBS and wondering if some of these issues are normal.
-
Might be some runout in the front wheel. When free spinning it makes contact with one of the front brake pads.
-
Shifting the front ring is a pain. Lots of travel in the shifter to the big ring, doesn’t feel precise like the rear, and seems like 90% of the time when riding it won’t even move the chain.
Taking it back to the LBS this week but was curious if any of this is somewhat normal.
Doing my first sprint tri later this summer. I recently just bought a cannondale top stone gravel bike for general riding/training. Will this be a decent bike for at least doing the sprint with the stock setup? It came with 37” riddler gravel tires. I figure if needed I could probably throw some 32” road tires on.
How do you maintain constant breathing when your heart rate goes up? When I get anxious or tired my heart rate goes up and my body wants to breathe faster (I.e. similar to running). That in turn forces my stroke rate to go up so I can take breathes faster….which leads to quick burnout. I’m relatively new so maybe I just need adaptation time in the water?
Booked a flight in economy seating but nothing available to pick. Just paid upgrades. Assuming I’ll just get assigned one of the upgraded seats without paying before boarding? Am I in any danger of getting bumped if all the other upgraded seats are purchased?
Looking to get into triathlons (currently just a runner) and looking for a good first bike. It will likely get more used for training/casual rides on greenways and flat dirt trails vs racing, but should at least be capable of doing a half iron at some point. I haven’t ridden much in at least 10 years and the only bike I have is a 90s trek 820 mountain bike that I’ll probably get rid of.
I still plan on going to a local shop to get fitted and see what the local recommendations are but wanted to get an idea on what questions I should be asking or any recommendations in general from here. Thanks!
I have an about $350k in the regular automated investment portfolio with DI enabled. Have been thinking about opening the new DI only account for lower fee and just putting new money in there. Is it worth it?
