I loved my Game Boys as a kid. I had a Pocket that my parents gave in and bought me after much begging, and later I saved up and bought a Color off eBay. I also had a GBA for a hot minute, though it didn't make the same impression. I gave them all away at some point to a family friend.

I've thought about getting a new handheld for a while now, for the nostalgia and to play all the great games I never got to. Now my kid is getting into Pokemon through the TCG, and I want to give her a feel for the old-school Pokemon experience while I relive it myself. So I'm looking for something that feels like a (pre-Advance) Game Boy. We already have a Steam Deck in the household, so I'm not planning to

I’ve only recently started watching daily, so I managed to miss that that Jordan, the guy who played Michigan, was Jordan Morris this whole time. I know him almost exclusively by voice and I had no idea. 😛

This does explain why he's always so great.

My wife and I are looking for a car. We're looking at dealerships for either a new or nearly-new vehicle. We'd like to walk in with a pre-approval in hand, so we know our budget and maybe can negotiate based on it.

We're not totally sure which car we want yet, and we'd like to keep our options open as we shop around for prices. But when I try to apply with my bank online, they want to know details about the car: make, model, etc.

Does that mean I'm looking at the wrong thing? Or do I actually have to know exactly what car we're going for first? Or can I get approved for "more car" than we need and apply it to whatever car we end up with? I've been through this with a mortgage before, but t

I love Peak Design's packing system, and I'd love to keep everything within it. But I have a bit of jewelry to travel with—necklaces, earrings, bracelets—and I'm trying to figure out if one of Peak's products are good for that, or if I should find a small pouch somewhere else for it. Mostly, I'd love it to come from Peak because I'd know I could trust it. 🙂

If there's not a good Peak product, anyone have a recommendation that's of a similar quality?

I got my first order from Cumin Club and got a side dish they refer to as "Rice Puttu". Now I've never had rice puttu before, but my understanding is that it's a log of steamed rice and other stuff, like coconut. I wasn't sure how that was going to be packageable, but I was curious, so I put it in my order.

Here's what I got. It's a packet of freeze-dried stuff like everything else they sell. The description is "A portioned log of steamed rice and grated coconut," which is what I'd expect. But the ingredients are: "Coconut. Salt, Oil". No rice.

Okay, so I guess I'm supposed to mix this with my own rice and make it into logs? I can do that. What do the instruc

Every morning I'm awoken by my 4yo, I drag myself downstairs, plop down on the couch with her, turn on the TV, and—

ANIMALS ARE NEIGHBORS, SO ARE PLANTS AND TREES

Does anyone here actually work at PBS Kids by chance? Or know anyone who does? Could I just get someone to turn it down a little to match everything else? My family's eardrums will all thank you.
