I have two monitors. If I am in a live tournament with a friend and I want to have their game up on the 2nd monitor while I play my game on the 1st monitor will chess.com flag this for cheating? When you play live you can walk around and look at other boards so I don’t see how this would be much different.

Do you recommend that they wait until 2 weeks out to give their 2 weeks notice or do you recommend that they inform the employer 1,2,6,12 months out? I know it depends on the size of the company and their role in the company but I was just curious if yall have a go to timeframe for this.
Dude has had an amazing playoffs, then played a great game 6 and start of game 7 despite (more than likely) knowing the risks of playing on that calf. He also seems like an ideal role model. I would like to make a donation to his charity or a favorite charity of his but I have no idea what that is.

In my area we have a couple large RIA’s that are constantly advertising on the radio stations. They market themselves as a fiduciary financial advisors who specialize in avoiding market downturns and volatility. Their only licenses is for annuities and insurance plus they don’t have any designations. How are these guys allowed to publicly claim to be fiduciary’s? Had one do a live interview on the local sports talk show where they talked about how they have successfully avoided the volatility this year (what volatility?) and how the volatility is only going to get worse. I just feel like there needs to be some sort of criteria to call yourself a fiduciary, also as a financial advisor in gen
I see posts all the time taking about how financial advisors are expensive and not worth it, I recently came across a prior client who by all means shouldn’t have needed an advisor but not having one costed him greatly.
This client used me for around 7 years until 2019, he had about $1.5M in etfs where I charged .5% aum. He was in his late 60’s, mainly lived off of social security but would take a withdrawal occasionally for vacations. Even with a conservative portfolio his assets would still grow and with no kids or legacy goals I regularly encouraged him to think about what he wanted to do with this money while he was young enough to do so. He was a relatively easy client, he understood
Let’s say you have someone that has a small business with 10-20 employees, after maxing out their 401k, profit sharing and backdoor Roth IRA what is the next investment avenue that you typically look into next? Does that route change if the extra amount wanting to be invest is <$50k a year or >$200k?
I know this isn’t exactly a fair question without a company census and client goals but I’m surely you have an idea of what you typically do with the excess or what option you first want to look at.
