Happy Pride! Finally back home after volunteering for my job at Seattle's Pridefest. I'd forgotten what it's like to stand for long periods. The sore feet are real.
imgur.com/a/jehlKSo I'm not really sure what to make of this situation completely. This morning, while I was going to my surgical follow up from my recent surgery(Orchiectomy), I went through a fast food drive through to get some food. I didn't bother to wear any makeup to coverup what facial hair I have left and my face was somewhat red due to shaving irritation.
As soon as I pulled up to the drive through window and saw the woman there her eyes widened. As soon as they widened my first though was, 'oh shit she knows I'm trans'. It wasn't necessarily in a bad way, there wasn't a scowl or anything that accompanied it, but it just felt suuuuper awkward. Especially as she like froze for a sec before saying my
So I remember seeing in either this subreddit or r/mtf a quote that had something along the lines of,
"When you're 5 they say you're too young to know your gender identity
When you're 18 you would have said something/we would have known when you were younger
When you're 24 you have your life ahead of you and should find a partner, marry and have kids
When you're 40 you have a partner and kids, you'd be hurting them transitioning
When you're 55+ you're too old, why not just accept your birth gender"
I know I'm getting it wrong and missing some, but I wanted to see if anyone had the more complete quote, I tried searching but couldn't find it.
Thanks!

imgur.com/a/rSPkDI finally got my appointment with a urologist today for my intake exam for my Orchiectomy. Despite misgendering from the nurses everything went well. Apparently though I've had so much atrophy that I have to go to a radiologist and get an ultrasound to find where they went so that she can remove them. After going to the radiologist tomorrow I should be able to schedule a date in the next month to finally finish this step in my transition. It'll be soooo nice to finally be off Spiro and not have to worry anymore about excess T.
Before transition I never though I'd be so excited for surgery. For some reason I thought I'd be way more nervous going in or talking honestly with the doctor. I exp
