Can plantar faciitis be genetic?

Support Needed - Questions ❓

New here! My mother has diagnosed plantar fasciitis for years now and for some reason I always felt for her but never thought about the fact i'm also very constantly in pain when i'm working and that it may be the same thing.

I always chalked it up to i'm just more sensitive to foot pain than the people around me but, I get a pain when i'm working that goes from my heel (worst there) to the middle of my foot mostly on the inside sides of my feet. It's worst when i'm pulling 12+ hour shifts, but even when I pull 4? hour shifts it hurts. For instance I got home earlier from a 6 hour shift and was hurting so bad at work it becomes almost a muscle itch?? Like my skin isn't itchy but deep in my

I'm 23 F and just moved to across the country to Lynchburg a few months ago. Trying to find girl friends in the area! I love art, animals, music & want to get more into the outdoors (finding spots to hike or hidden gems!) Any tips or groups anything anyone knows how to find more friends!! 🥲

Quick ramble because I feel like I see this all the time and it happened to me!! Psychiatrist are so quick to diagnose people with just generalized anxiety, but get iffy when asked about ocd. It's so difficult when you get misdiagnosed because normal therapy for anxiety can actually heighten ocd by fueling compulsions. It's like so many psychiatrist are genuinely uneducated about the disorder and it drives me bonkers!

Ocd needs specialized therapy! Diagnosis is so important and can save people years of mental torture yet it's so widely overlooked and misunderstood. It took me two years of searching and pushing for a diagnosis to actually find a therapist who specializes in it and diagnosed

I need support - advice welcome

Thinking about looking into iop treatment, I've been doing therapy and medication but just feeling like I need something more frequent and stabilizing. Has anyone had any luck with iop treatments??

I don’t usually like to give people an entire spiel about my ocd and I just say I have bad anxiety.

But I realized a good comparison for explaining ocd intrusive thoughts/feelings to others , Is like when you are washing your face in the shower or bathroom and you can’t see anything. And you get that little intrusive thought that something is behind you; and even if you logically know there’s nothing your brain still goes “what if there was”. And you just HAVE to check because you start to panic and it suddenly becomes dire. But then there’s nothing even there, and you feel silly but if you start to wash your face again you know it’s just gonna happen all over again.

I think the majority

I want to get into traveling but i’m in a bit of a sticky living situation atm and would love to get a break from everything from time to time with some letters. I’m into house plants, clothing design, poetry, pretty architecture and swapping music. I have a cat and a dog, both a little crazy but I love them nonetheless. Idm gender or anything, i’d love to just get to know varieties of people. If you are interested at all shoot me a message!!

😭😭 Basically just what the title says, anything to do with court is just nerve wracking as is and add social anxiety on top and it’s just a mess. It’s like public speaking but with added pressure.

But I locked in and got it over with, and was able to spell it after calming down. Slightly funny in hindsight

Does anyone else constantly feel like they lose any friends they make because of their anxiety? And I know it’s my own fault, I have a hard time going through with plans, i’m awkward and even texting sometimes gets hard for me. So I just end up alone time and time again.

I just recently had my 22nd birthday and instead of going out w any girl friends I just spent it with my mother. I love her but I wish I had more friends to go out with, instead i’m stuck in my own head and borderline agoraphobic.

Thought maybe I could shed a little positivity because I often see the majority of posts on here just people struggling.

I think i’ve gotten to the point i’m actually not sure if I would meet criteria for being diagnosed with OCD any longer. I still have OCD, but it bothers me so little that I can even speak about it casually.

And this is coming from someone who lost 40+ pounds, would get maybe 3/4 hours of sleep, and lost my relationship to ocd. OCD used to be my 24/7, intrusive thoughts were my entire life to the point I would wake up from dreams and cry because i’d be back in my reality. I ended up in the hospital at one point because I just didn’t want to suffer anymore therefore I
