Im a beginner golfer that just started piecing a used set together. Its a bit of a mix and match between what i could get thats decently priced, i also made the mistake of not thinking alot about what shaft some clubs came with. This led me to have the following irons:
-cobra radspeed iron set 7-pw with kbs tour 90 iron shafts
-cobra speedzone gw with a graphite aldila dvs hl 70-r shaft
-ping glidex 3.0 with z115 shaft.
There is quite the weight difference between these so i wonder if it would be a good idea to reshaft these to be more uniform? Im a tinkerer so i can most likely do it myself without much hassle.
Does anyone have any tips of winter boots that are goodyear welted? I would like boots that are resole able and for nordic winter weather, i have yet to find any that seem decent.
Managed to exchange my ticket from lisbon to porto but i still have a "choose your exit slot for lisbon airbort" among my tickets. Does anyone have a clue what that means and if i should have one for porto instead?
So i volunteer at a makerspace and we just built a new lasercutter. We are however having issues with drfting in the Z direction. It does not seem to be a mechanical issue because the drift does not seem consistent but seems dependent on shapes/angles.The drift also always seems to be towards a "straight" edge of the thing being filled.
The machine is further fabrication y1200 and runs with lightburn and a cohesion3d laserboard 0.2. The X axis is run from the board and the Y axis is run from a cloudray DM542S driver.
The first tests or "a" shape tests were done by running an line around the shape, a line around a circle, filling the shape and then running ano
I got a canner a bit ago and noticed that none of my old tricks or glues seem to work... Last time i had to panic use silicon which ofc worked but was a bit of a pain in the arse. Any tips on how to glue paper to aluminium cans?
So im part of a makerspace group handling the kiln for the ceramics area. We are all quite new too firing and especially with quite a large kiln like the one we got. Its a new 150 liter kittec cb 150s eco, its a toploader with inner dimensions 510 x 720mm or 20x28inch. We are trying to dial in our temperatures for glazing and aiming for cone 7 and our current firing schedule is 100c/h to 400c and then skip to 1240c with a 10 minute hold.
We had 2 sets of orton cones in the kiln one set around 3/4 and one 1/3 from the bottom. the lower set with 7/8/9 cones seem to have fired to around 6-> 6.5 while the top one went all the way to cone 9. The kiln had a bit more space between the items towar
Was looking around and found some people recommend a german manufacturer osim for grease in regards to helical drives. Has anyone used their grease/oil on internals as well? They seem to have a range of greases where fgf5 is the one ive seen recommended for the lenses but do they have another more suited for internal parts?

So i have a few 8 wire hybrid stepper motors i would like to use for an lasercutter project. I bought a few DM542s stepper drivers to use for driving these, When connecting up 2 or the coils the motor runs as expected however as soon as i connect em it up to run series or parallel it triggers an overcurrent alarm. Am i just doing something stupid here or whats going on? I havent really encountered this particular error before and im a bit stumped about how to solve it.

So i have a immersion water heater meant for brewing that i was gonna connect up to my brewing setup to heat the water a bit quicker. I already have a 3.5kw 220v element with 2 loops/2 pairs of posts (something like this https://www.themaltmiller.co.uk/product/2-75kw-tc-stainless-steel-element-for-tmm-kettles/?v=f003c44deab6).
It would be perfect for me at around half that power, so i wonder since they are basically just 2 runs of heating wire i should just be able to isolate the posts for one of the loops and connect up the other 2 posts as per normal. Are there any larger risks involved with that which i havent thought about?
