I have always naturally had quite flat, narrow feet that overpronate. However, this has never given me issues. While I’ve never been a real runner, I’ve lived in NYC for 10 years and walk tons on concrete with little discomfort so I feel confident there’s nothing actually wrong with my feet or gait. I even do quite well in flat, firm, shoes for long periods of time. For additional context I am a relatively lightweight female. I’m comfortable spending upwards of $150 on the right shoes. I’d be running on road and treadmill.

I know the predominant advice is to go to a running store and get fitted, and I’ve done that… twice now 😳 my local Fleet Feet has a pretty limited selection though. They

I’d like to give running another go after a long hiatus after having my second baby. I’ve never really gotten past the beginner stage though and am still trying to figure out the best shoes for me. This is more general snark/musing, but thought would resonate with this crowd. As I witness the proliferation of extensive cosmetic surgery, and how some of these influencers and actresses are reconstructing their entire faces to all look the same, I’ve been thinking about how it makes me feel about myself. Mind you - I am not a young impressionable girl, I am in my 30s. So, I’m definitely not denying the negative impact on young girls who don’t have the wisdom to see through how artificial these people are. But seriously at this point, what I have always felt were flaws in my features and skin, including burgeoning signs of aging, I am actually starting to find value in, in comparison to

Hi! I'm wondering if anyone here based in NYC is willing to share their experiences or perspective on pursuing this career path here, both schooling and employment. I'm sorry this is so long but felt the context was necessary lol.

For context, I already have a B.S. degree (Neuroscience) which I received 10 years ago, and 5 years of work experience across biomedical research and pharma marketing after that, then I took about 5 years off to have my kids.

I'm wondering if anyone who attended either of the accredited schools in NYC (SUNY Downstate or CAHE) can share their experiences and why they chose one program over another. While SUNY is much cheaper, the perk of CAHE is that it would not

Anyone see Caitlin Reilly's current stories? She has multiple wall-of-text stories complaining about the loud music at the resort she's staying at on her honeymoon which devolves into calling everyone iPad kids and shouting about how we're destroying the planet. I don't necessarily disagree with the literal content of what she's saying, but it's a bad look to say this all publicly while currently on this fancy vacation in Hawaii of all places (where there is legitimate concern about how tourism destroys natural resources) and posting all of this on her phone instead of being present, AND like, her whole claim to fame is being an internet personality. This would theoretically be the perfect
